Travel back in time ✨ During the boom of the diamond rush in Namibia’s south, a small but wealthy settlement called Kolmanskop sprang up almost overnight, a short distance inland from Lüderitz. As the rush came to an end, the settlement became abandoned and eventually reclaimed by the desert. Kolmanskop is a true photographer's paradise - The abandoned town at the gates of Lüderitz is slowly silting up, offering an incredible variety of photo motifs.

In the turmoil of the First World War, many horses became ownerless and fled into the desert. There are various theories as to which horse breed the wild horses can be traced back to.
