Vang Vieng is a countryside destination in the middle Laos. This province is around 150km from Vientiane Capital and 190km from Luang Prabang taking 3 hours and 5.5 hours drive respectively. There is no airport available there.
Peaceful little Vang Vieng town attracts the tourists by its picturesque scenes of rivers and mountains settings. Additionally, there are huge caves, blue lagoon and outdoor activities like Kayaking, tubing, zip lining, quad riding, cycling, trekking, etc. River resorts offering stunning sunset for chilling time on the bamboo bench after a day sightseeing roundabout. Local cuisine is less outstanding than other parts but its serene nature will treat your stay well.

PLAIN OF JARS
Laos home to the Plain of jars, a UNESCO Heritage Site which is mysterious as the Stonehenge of UK. Plain of jars is located in Phonsavan, the capital of Xieng Khouang Province whose origin is unknown exactly. People believe that those jars were used between 1,500 and 2,000 years ago as funerals urns or storage.
In 1930s, French archaeologist Madeleine Colani pioneered research in Xieng Khouang and found the those jars with human cremation remained and cave with burned bones and ash. These days, there are over 2,000 jars been found over this province of Xieng Khouang.
Plain of jars is among the Laos attractions which are not affected by the mass tourism; and of course worth a visit.
Tourists can reach Xieng Khouang by flights from Vientiane (operated one per day) and Luang Prabang (3 days per week on Mon, Wed and Fri).

Vientiane, LAOS
This city is the capital and the largest city of Laos. Not as popular and favourable as Luang Prabang, Vientiane features unique experiences.
Visiting impressive temples is in the norm; additionally, the travelers can intermingle and experience local life when entering the downtown, having a Laos Beer or visiting local markets.
Cultural and historical buffs might feel interested in the Textile museum and COPE Center.

Luang Prabang is embraced and be the meeting points of two rivers - Mekong and Khan Rivers. Traveling to , the most comfortable thing to do is enjoying its quietness and serenity.
This heritage town is featured by the attached houses in colonial architectures and the significant practices of Buddhism. The living pace is pretty slow which pull you back from the hustle life.

Two spiritual ceremonies which are still practiced wildly in Laos these days.
🌱Baci Ceremony
Laotian celebrate Baci in all their lives' events like the delivery of a new baby, wedding, returning, departing, having new houses, etc.
Baci means calling souls. Laotian believe that thier bodies are made of 32 organs that watched over by the kwan. Since the kwan often attribute causes of illness, the ceremony calls the kwan or souls back to the body to secure them.
🌱 Tak Bath Ceremony
Laos is a Buddhist country that local people practice the respect to 3 things: The Buddha, The Monks and the Buddha's teaching. Every morning in , visitors will see the monks walk around corners of the town and receive the food from local.
In return, Laotian people believe to receive the bless from monks for a better after-life.
