You may have noticed that our posts are no longer up to date when it comes to references to Fast Passes. At Disneyland, there is now a system for attractions called Genie +. You can now get through…
Disneyland's plan to reimagine the theme park into a more "immersive" experience may require up to $2.5 billion and a plan to privatize some Anaheim streets.

Welcome to our page and thank you for joining us!
Why are we doing this? As a family that loves travel and, especially, travel to Disneyland and California Adventure, we've started collecting little tricks, hacks, and hints to help make our trips the best they can be.
It has gotten around that we spend quite a few vacations there, and everyone assumes we know all the tricks. It’s not uncommon for a friend to come up to us and ask us the general question of what they should do when they go. While it is always fun to have the conversation, the reality is that the first half of the conversation is us asking them questions about what their travel plans are, who is going, and what they are looking for in a magical vacation. The reason we ask all these questions is because, like many experiences, there is no “one-size-fits-all” perfect trip to Disneyland. A family with two small children staying at the Disneyland Hotel for 3 nights needs different advice than the family with a teenager staying near the beach and traveling to Disneyland for one day of their trip.
As we evaluate the best way to handle this blog and strive to provide useful advice for a family that isn’t “exactly us,” we have to constantly remind ourselves that what works for us isn’t necessarily what’s going to work for you. The best thing we can do is explain to you WHY it works for us, and explain WHY we plan our travel the way that we do. We’ll try to think of alternatives for different situations as we go along, but if you’re reading something in this blog that doesn’t apply to you directly, hopefully you can still benefit from the advice by adapting it to your situation.
The goal of this blog is to write about the topics that we wish we would have known about earlier. We’re going to cover things like general tips and tricks, our favorite hidden gems, ride and attraction reviews, food and dining, character experiences and accommodations, but we’re also going to get into some specific situations that might be a match to your situation, such as traveling with kids under five, what to do in Disneyland in a one, two or three day trip, and what to consider when you’re thinking about a Disney Vacation Club purchase.
We hope that you find this page helpful and would love to help answer questions as you have them!
