Calcite Mine Slot Canyons
East of Borrego Springs in the San Diego desert are these cool slot canyons that people can hike through on their way to the old mines where high-grade calcite used to create artillery and bomb sightings was obtained during WWII. Lisa and I recently explored it with the help of local Sierra Club members.
Apparently the seals in La Jolla are confused about the new signs prohibiting humans at Children's Pool this winter pupping season. They must think they are humans and have moved to another beach nearby where Victor captured seal pup video with yesterday's tour guests.
