Opening in Fall 2021, the Wizard of Oz Museum in Cape Canaveral should be a fun activity just a hop, skip and jump away from our Sandy Toes Townhouse 209. I know that Dorothy's red shoes are at the Smithsonian but this place says it will have other one of a kind memorabilia -- and who doesn't enjoy the Wizard of Oz!

JULY IS A PRIME BIOLUMINESCENCT MONTH in Cocoa Beach. During the summer months, the water of the Banana River Lagoon comes alive after sunset with bioluminescence. A microscopic organism begins to activate one of the most amazing chemical reactions found in the world. Cocoa Beach has several kayak/boating companies that can give you a "Bioluminescent" experience. Have fun!

Hmm we will have to wait and see if Peter Cottontail makes it to this years Cocoa Beach Surf Contest Scheduled for April 3 and 4th and held at Lori Wilson Park just minutes from Sandy Toes Townhouse. The Cocoa Beach Easter Surfing Contest continues the 57-year tradition for eventual world championship contenders to exhibit their style and quality of surfing. And don't forget to check out the Dog Surfing Contest as well. A good time for all I am sure.

Looking for an app instead then try 321Launch or Space Flight Now or Launch Console available for apple and android. Better yet keep up to date via Twitter which is what I do. Have fun. March 29th - Mark your calendar - Important launch for SpaceX!! The Boeing CST-100 Starliner Orbital Flight Test (OFT) will launch the spacecraft aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station SLC-41 to the ISS. This is the second launch of Boeing’s Starliner, a spacecraft that will soon transport astronauts to the International Space Station. No astronauts will be on board for this demonstration mission, but this launch is a necessary step prior to the final flight test with astronauts Butch Wilmore, Mike Fincke and Nicole Mann. Woohoo! Can You say "ROCKET LAUNCH" - No, not these at the Kennedy Space Center rocket garden -- but TOMORROW, SpaceX is targeting Tuesday, January 19 for its seventeenth Starlink mission, which will launch 60 Starlink satellites from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center. Dragon Boating on Banana River - WHO KNEW! This could be something you might want to try out -- as how often can anyone say they have been "dragon boating". Event is 2nd Sunday of every month in Indian Harbor Beach which is south of Cocoa Beach and less then a 30 minute drive away.
