Why should you rope drop?
There tend to be far fewer people in the parks at rope drop. In addition to potentially getting on some rides with a shorter line, you can also get some amazing pictures with few people in them!
If you are staying on property, you can take advantage of Early Entry as well to get a jump start on those rides.

Grab a coffee, or tea in my case, and enjoy the peaceful views from the beach at the Polynesian.
World Princess Week is in full swing at Walt Disney World.
While many people think of Magic Kingdom as the quintessential Princess park, EPCOT is another great option.

This is SUCH a benefit for on site guests!
Guests staying in a Walt Disney World resort can book their lightning lane selections, both Multi pass and Single pass, 7 days prior to their check in date FOR THE LENGTH OF STAY up to 10 days.
This means that you can make your selections for every day of your trip, up to 10 days, a week prior to your arriving at WDW.
Not staying on Disney property? You can still book ahead, but only 3 days. However, this means that on site guests get "first dibs" on the best rides/ times.
It is definitely a perk for staying on site.

What do you consider the best ride at Disney World?
I love all of the details on Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, but the Little Mermaid fan in me adored the Sebastian’s Cove area.
It is the perfect play area for little kids!
Storybook Dining at Artist Point offers a character meal with some rare characters.
Stepping into the restaurant feels like stepping into a storybook with lights strung through the tree branches, and delightful music.
You will be treated to shared appetizers for the table, an entree from a pre fixe menu, and shared desserts. To finish off dinner, you will receive the Huntsman's gift to the Queen.
While you feast, you will be joined by Snow White, D***y, and Grumpy. Beware, you may also be summoned by the Evil Queen.

The Wild Africa Trek in Disney's Animal Kingdom is a 3 hour guided tour over the river and through the Savanna.
You get to see the animals like never before, walk over two rope bridges, and eat in the Boma while watching the animals.

If you are entering through the International Gateway, the ride that makes the most sense to go to first is Remy’s in France. You will be able to get there much faster than those from the front.
Another good one to head to is Frozen as it is about the same distance from both entrances.

Even though it is still summer, it is time to start planning your Christmas in Disney!
This year Disney is, again, offering two unique Christmas celebrations.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held at Magic Kingdom. Eat cookies and drink hot cocoa as you watch the snow fall along main street. There are themed dance parties, character meet and greets, a special Christmas parade, and so much more!
Disney Jollywood Nights is all the glitz and glam of old Hollywood mixed with a Christmas flair. Located in Hollywood Studios, you can find spectacular entertainment, rare character meet and greets, and lots of food and drink options. Put on your Hollywood best and stop by for some festive fun!
On site guests can purchase their tickets NOW.
Off site guests can purchase beginning on July 10!

Disney has announced a new system to bypass the standby lines.
The current system is called Genie+, which is a paid version that guests purchase day of. Ride selections are then made at 7am on the day you will use it.
This new system- Lightening Lane Multi Pass- will allow guests to purchase and make selections PRIOR to their trip. This allows guests to have a plan going in to their day, as well as allows people to sleep in who want to! There will be Tiers you can select rides from.
The other name change is Individual Lightening Lane is now Lightening Lane Single Pass. It will work pretty much the same- you may purchase up to two rides per day for certain individual rides, the only difference is now you can purchase them ahead of time.

My friend and I were walking over to Gaston's for some breakfast when we saw these cute water drawings outside of the bathrooms in Adventureland. A Cast Member must have just finished them.
While we stopped to take pictures, we saw several people rushing by (and walking right over them) on their way to their next ride/ character/ meal.
Yes, the rides and shows and characters are awesome, but be sure to take time to see the little bits of magic the Cast Members make for you as well!

The Wild Africa Trek is a behind the scenes tour in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The tour is approximately 3 hours long and you get to walk through grassland trails, cross rope bridges, and explore the Savanna on a smaller safari vehicle. Following all of this, you can sit in the Boma in the middle of the Savanna watching the animals while enjoying lunch. Your tour guides also double as photographers so you can enjoy your tour. You get all of the pictures to download as a part of the tour price (NO Memory Maker needed!). Does this sound like a tour you would like? Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is an amazingly beautiful new island destination with Disney Cruise Lines. Sometimes though, you just want to get away from the crowds. You can do just that! When you get off the tram, turn right! Walk past the water play areas and to the Play Play Pavilion. Not only can you meet Goofy and Chip n Dale (and play games with them!), but there is hardly anyone over here. There are plenty of empty chairs and the beach was relatively empty. That’s right! You can send letters and post cards right from the parks! (Just be sure they have postage on them 😉). The mail is collected daily and sent from Orlando. This mailbox can be found outside of City Hall in Magic Kingdom. Others can be found at the front of the other 3 parks (sometimes locations move, so be sure to ask). Magic Kingdom also has another mailbox in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, where you can send letters to Santa!! EPCOT’s International Festival of the Arts offers so much entertainment, including this- the visual arts in performance. Found tucked back in the France Pavilion in EPCOT is L’Artisan des Glaces. There you can get ice cream, sorbet, and some specialty treats. One of these treats is the Croque Glacé. A scoop of ice cream and a topping of your choice, sealed inside of a warm homemade brioche bun. I chose cinnamon pecan ice cream with caramel sauce.
