[Dear EU airlines, can we have some of them too?]
POV: window shopping can sometimes be more entertaining and rewarding than actually making purchases afterward.

Hong Kong, to us, is like that distant shopping mall that throws surprisingly good discounts once in awhile, so good that it actually is still worth traveling there to reap the discounts.

If we recall correctly, flying to UK and back on Swiss Air cost only RM1.5k+ last year, and now flying to Dublin and back on Finnair cost as low as HKD2,937 / RM1,674 or HKD 3,637 / RM2,072 with 23kg baggage allowance only. These are some of the airlines that will almost never appear in the top of our result after we sort it by price, in ascending order. The heck.

Dear Finnair / Swiss Air, can we have some of these discounts here in Singapore too? 🥺

Happy FARTing!

[Rare Canada deal!]
Whoa, what a rare occurrence. Round trip from Kuala Lumpur to Vancouver and back on Air China, going as low as RM2,383 only on Trip OTA.

Update: deal works for Singapore, Bangkok and Manila (thanks John Marx Velasco!) departures too.

Unfortunately travel dates are extremely limited.

[Saudia deals for Singaporeans]
Lately, a few flight hunters posted a great deal by Saudia where one can fly from Singapore to Vienna and back for as low as RM1.7-1.8k+ (~SGD550-599) on Trip OTA. If this continues, Scoot might be in trouble 😅

Last night, we spotted another great deal by them - a round trip from Singapore to Barcelona costing about the same at RM1,867/SGD572, reasonable layover duration and standard full service offerings. Scoot does not fly to Barcelona, but SQ does, and theirs transit at Milan. With both options requiring layovers, will this pressure SQ to price their fares more competitively?

Happy FARTing! ☺️

[Istanbul deal for our Indo friends]
A post primarily for our Indonesian friends ☺️

Turkish airlines is recently pricing their Istanbul routes quite aggressively. Other than the one departing from Kuala Lumpur, which we believe have been posted by multiple flight hunters (and huge thanks to Yusrina Yusup for providing the intel), another departure point that enjoys equally significant reduction is the one departing from Jakarta.

The lowest we spotted was RM1,723/IDR6.4 mio, standard full service offerings. It’s a decent rate, but not at the point where it’s worth positioning to in our opinion.

Tickets are limited - there are only a few dates left in March and May.

Happy FARTing! ☺️

[Another error fare?]
So upon scanning the flight ticket market, it looks like Kiwi.com is in a mess right now, pricing and selling non-existent one-way tickets at bloody cheap prices.

However, in the sea of noises, we saw a one-way ticket from Bangkok to Paris on the 5 stars EVA Air, priced only at RM163 on Agoda. Anyone had bad experience booking flight tickets on Agoda too? 🫢

[One-way to Guangzhou]
Saw a one-way ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Guangzhou on Malaysia Airlines oddly priced at only RM216 on Kiwi.com. This is about 20% of what it’s worth on the official website.

The OTA is not the best when it comes to honouring mispriced tickets, but daring folks who intends to travel China (+Hong Kong and Macau) can try ticketing it out.

Happy FARTing! 🤗

[PR business class deal]
What's up with Philippines Airlines selling business class tickets much cheaper than Premium Economy (and sometimes Economy) seats?

Folks can now fly from Bali to a few Australian destinations i.e. Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth for as low as RM2,210 (one-way) and RM3,821 (round trip). 40kg of checked baggage allowance, 125% of miles earn rate and access to lounge included. Assuming one flies a round trip to Melbourne on I class, that trip would earn him 14k miles, which can be credited to ANA to redeem a one-way ticket between Japan and Korea.

Travel dates: Apr 2025 onwards.

The last time PR had a deal like this was back last year, with Kuala Lumpur as departure station. Price was about the same as the current one + a round trip to Bali.

[One more EU destinations going below 2k]
Saw that Oman Air had a price drop for the KUL-Paris route.

The cheapest class (Super Saver) goes as low as RM1,872, but if you are in it for the full service experience, opt for the Comfort class then. It's priced as low as RM2,045.

Oh wait, you said you want a more premium flying experience? 🧐
Go for Emirates then. For the same dates and routes, it cost about 200 ringgit more. (screenshot in comment section)

[Maldives on Valentine’s Day?]
A round-trip to Male, Maldives from Kuala Lumpur can be had for RM564 on Agoda and another less known OTA VakaTrip.

February is a warm and dry month for Maldives, and with this, couples on budget can fulfill their honeymoon easier.

[A new route we are excited of]
It's official.

FlyScoot will be flying to Vienna starting June this year! This makes Austria the third EU country Scoot flies to after the pandemic, and for us Malaysians, another (hopefully, consistently) affordable option to visit the east side of Europe 😁

Tickets are already available for purchase on the main website. The lowest we found for a round-trip is RM1,844 so far, and it includes a relatively generous 10kg cabin baggage allowance. Travel date is in September, which is Autumn in Austria. Hallstatt will look extremely beautiful that time 😍😍

Sadly, the Berlin route will be suspended following the launch 🥲 Overall, it's still pleasant to see how LCCs are progressing and bringing more budget-friendly long-haul options to the market. AirAsia, any updates on Istanbul and London routes? 🧐

Happy FARTing people! 🥰

[First MH post of the year 🎉🥳]
The day has finally arrived where we can construct the famous KUL-LON, CDG-KUL open-jaw EU itinerary with our own national carrier, Malaysia Airlines!

Starting from 22 March 2025, Malaysia Airlines will resume operations between Kuala Lumpur and Paris, making it the second Europe destination for the carrier. At this point, standard round trip fares between the two is still at a premium price (RM3k and above) compared to our usual EU catches, but with a bit of creativity and effort, we think we may be able to pull the price down to reasonable range for y’all.

Construction #1 - non stop* pure MH open jaw itinerary
Start the journey from KUL, and fly to London. For the return journey, depart from CDG and fly to Bangkok through Kuala Lumpur. Don’t ask us the obvious question, we are law abiding travelers (but we can’t force you to, so just be aware that your checked luggage might travel further than you if it’s not well planned) 😗 altogether this construction should cost you RM2,554 on Trip OTA.

Construction #2 - Qatar + MH open jaw itinerary
We found that flying to Mykonos, Greece is at an attractive price now if you book MH marketed QR operated flights. Construct KUL-JMK, CDG-BKK if you prefer to experience the great hospitality of Qatar Airways to Europe, and the new non-stop MH flight back to SE Asia. Set aside RM2,358 for this itinerary. The price difference between these two should be able to cover a one way positioning flight to Paris.

Seriously, we are glad to see MH resuming this route, but do you guys think they will ever price their EU routes to match Saudia/Oman Air? 😗

Happy FARTing! 😉😉

[SQ’s random homecoming deal]
Oman Air recently has a decent promo involving round trip from Kuala Lumpur to Milan for about RM1.9k. However, the lowest class has its checked luggage privilege stripped out, essentially turning it into a “semi” LCC offer 😅

While adding back checked luggage allowance cost just a small fraction, one could consider substituting the inbound segment with a wonderful catch we found - a one-way from Milan to Kuala Lumpur on SQ for RM1,064 on Trip OTA. That way, a round trip to Milan on Oman+SQ should cost you a max of RM2.1k.

Meanwhile, we also found another Oman Air deal involving a one way from Phuket to London, priced only at THB6960/RM908. If you prefer to slot London in to your Milan trip, positioning to Phuket should cost you RM130-150 more. Otherwise, if you’re a Thai, the SQ one-way deal above works for Phuket and Bangkok return too 🫶

[Bro Saudia is dropping deals one-by-one]
Hey yo this Saudia is constantly dropping breadcrumbs deals like nobody’s business 😭

Now we have another destination making it to the “under 2000” list - SIN-Milan round trip going as low as RM1,902/SGD576 on Trip UK OTA.

Pretty short layover duration in Jeddah so no need to worry about visa.

Happy FARTing! ☺️

[Hokkaido in March]
A round-trip to Sapporo, Hokkaido at only RM1,141/SGGD348 is definitely an attractive one as its already as low as it could get, for us Malaysians. The inbound segment is serviced by full service airline - China Eastern Airlines. Folks get a 7 hours layover at Shanghai - cool enough to wrap the wonderful trip with some Chinese delicacies!

March is when Hokkaido transition into its Spring season. To some, the best time to visit this beautiful city is that time. March in Hokkaido offers the best of both worlds: the winter wonderland unlike anywhere else and good enough weather to enjoy the island fully.

Happy FARTing! 😄

[Good deals slowly popping up]
Another EU destination made it to the “Under 2000” list!

The Singapore - Barcelona round trip on Saudia can be had at only RM1,875/SGD570 on Trip OTA. Comparing to the KUL-GVA deal found last night, the 2hrs+ layover is certainly less gruesome, making it a better choice for those willing to position themselves at Singapore.

Happy FARTing! ☺️

[Dejavu]
There’s a brief period of time where Saudia’s round trip to Geneva cost exceptionally low.

History repeated itself again and we could get it as low as RM1,866 now on Trip OTA. Travel date found in May, where places like Interlaken and Zermatt are in their beautiful spring scenery.

Otherwise, one could consider flying to Madrid to explore southwest Europe at just a small top up.

Oh yah, is anyone going to Europe soon? Admin has an unused data plan looking to giveaway. First come first serve ya 😅 [UPDATE] eSIM given out at 9:16PM

Happy FARTing! ☺️☺️

[Slightly attractive price, interesting destination]
Spotted an interesting fare - round trip from Singapore to Billund, Denmark going as low as SGD724.40/RM2,385 on Air France official website. We regarded it as interesting, not because of the rate but a rare destination to fall within that price.

Be mindful that it is a “light” fare. Nowadays there are quite a number of full service airlines offering a no-frills class to compete against LCCs. If you are fine with packing under 12kg for a winter trip, this can really be an affordable opportunity to visit Scandinavia! 🇩🇰

Happy FARTing! 🤓

[Just some random catches]
Not sure if any bloggers have posted this, but AirArabia has got some really good one-way deals that return to Kuala Lumpur. For example:
Doha to KL cost only RM498
Muscat to KL cost only RM551 (OTA)
Amman to KL cost only RM547 (OTA)
Cairo to KL cost only RM614 (OTA)

Very limited dates, likely the deal has lasted a few days.

Another deal that we saw is a round trip from Singapore to Osaka and back, costing just RM798 on Trip OTA. I know what chu gonna ask, the answer is no… departing from KUL on the same dates cost significantly more. 🙂‍↕️ what happened 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Anyway, Merry belated Christmas (if that’s the right way to say it 🤓) Happy FARTing! 🥰😘
