99th Inf. Battalion Separate - Living History Group We are a Norwegian living history group portraying men of the 99th Infantry Battalion (separate) during WWII.

The battalion consisted of 1001 Norwegian-speaking soldiers of the US Army. It was created in July 1942 at Camp Ripley, Minnesota.

In february we could once again have our annual Camp Hale 1943 training event. This time we had an even bigger motorpool and more guests then ever! The schedule was packet with long skipatrols, day and night. Demolition training was also in the program as we were going to put it into use during a long training mission to test everything we'd learned. The weekend was a huge success and we will definetly be back for more.

After a short break during this little pandemic of ours, we are finally back with another Camp Hale 1943 training event!...

From our last annual Camp Hale 1943 training event in february 2020. We had participants from other contries joining us on this trip. Long ski patrols, campfire in the deep snow, trip to the shooting range, sabotage training, amazing views, wwii vehicles and amazing weather all the time!

Five of our members participated on the September Oddesy event hosted by 2nd Armoured In Europe. This event lasted over 10 days with 30+ veichles and several hundred reenactors. We followed in the footsteps of 2nd Armoured Division during the liberation of Belgium, figting on the actual battlefields it took place 75 years earlier. The events these guys are hosting are truly once in a lifetime, and a huge oppertunity for every reenactor.
