is back open on Main Street in Yarmouth, ME!

We stopped by on Day 2 of their launch week and enjoyed some shares and entrees.

Pro Tip: Our favorite dish was the hummus with house made pickled veggies and naan 😋 (photo 2) but we’re also a sucker for any kind of brussels!

🍎 Being north of means being closer to all the best apple orchards!!

This year we tried in New Gloucester, which had a TON of (a favorite of course).

- they were hidden in the back 😏. We almost missed them!

Do you have a favorite local orchard? Drop it below, I’m always down to mix it up and try something new!

🎃 Have you tried all the local Maine pumpkin beers yet?

A few weeks ago, we had a crew over to do a blind taste test & the reviews were scary good! Final rankings below:

#1 Pumpkin Head by
#2 Pumpkin Party by Lone Pine Brewing Company]
#3 Gourd Lord by
#4 Carnival of Horrors by Lone Pine Brewing Company]

Pumpkin Head (lager) -
Even in a blind taste test, this popular seasonal beer still came out on top! The blend of spices just can’t be beat.

Pumpkin Party (ale) -
This spiced ale is a little more mellow and is a great easy drinking pumpkin ale.

Gourd Lord (lager)-
Love the name, and love the take on a pumpkin ale that’s truly a little more gourd-forward and less about the pumpkin spice. It tastes like you just bit into a pumpkin, in a good way!

Carnival of Horrors (stout)-
You stout lovers out there will LOVE this beer! Thick and sweet, all the best fall flavors are wrapped up in this tasty beer.

Which pumpkin beers have you tried and enjoyed?

👻 Happy Halloween!

Having lived in Cambridge for 5 years, I always start my tours here. There’s so much history and beauty just on the other side of the river from Boston!

One of the major draws to Portland is the historic waterfront
downtown area called the 'Old Port'.

No matter what time of year, the
Old Port offers a lively scene - from lobstermen brining in their daily
catch, to bustling restaurants and coastal shops.

Personally, I love to
walk the old brick sidewalks and imagine the industries of past
decades being operated on these streets and the stories these
buildings could tell.

The Old Port is the perfect backdrop for a day's adventure or weekend
trip, so if you find yourself looking for a few ideas while you're in town,
check out my local's list of 9 fun things to do in the Old Port, now on the blog!

If you know me, you know there's two things I love: a city and a ranked list.

With the summer so short here in Portland ME, I took it upon myself last season to try and rate *all* the iced coffees on the peninsula.

It was a daunting task, but someone had to do it.

On the Blog: My 7 top-rated iced coffees on the Portland peninsula for your caffeinated enjoyment!

How many have you tried? And more importantly, what should I rank next??

*Each photo is tagged, but head over to the blog for the full review*

My parents are living their best life in the Azores, Portugal this week and I can’t help but reminisce about our trip there three years ago 😍

We had 7 days to explore San Miguel island and there was SO much to do, I helped plan a 12 day trip for my parents! Check back for BOTH itineraries live on the blog soon!

I mean, is there anything better than a mountaintop view?

If you’re looking for a easy-moderate NH day hike, this one’s for you! I grew up hiking Mount Cardigan with my family, so can confirm that it’s kid-friendly as well.

Take the West Ridge Trail for the most direct route to the summit, and happy climbing!

Boston will forever be my favorite city. Hands down, no contest. I moved to Boston in 2015 for work and overnight became a city girl. I love everything this beautiful, bustling, historic city has to offer and will talk your ear off about it if you let me!

But instead, let me give you the grand one-day-tour from Harvard Yard, Cambridge to the North End of Boston! Save this guide for your next trip to New England or pass it along to your next friend visiting the city.

And don’t forget to bring your best walking shoes, there’s a lot of ground to cover 😅

POV: you just woke up in a delightful bed & breakfast in Camden, ME. You come down for breakfast, unassumingly order the blueberry pancakes, and get THIS feast 😍 Life is good.

In June 2020, Maine was closed to all out-of-state visitors, so we took the time to explore more local destinations! Our anniversary trip to brought us to , where we were the first guests welcomed back after the initial long C0vid pause.

Matt and Dan were phenomenal hosts - every detail was carefully curated and Windward House had the cutest classic b&b rooms and the coziest common areas, including a fire pit in the garden!

So do yourself a favor and check them out on your next Camden trip! J still dreams about these pancakes…

📍Octant Hotel, Ponta Delgata
Azores

Always a sucker for a roof deck 😍

When we stayed at this hotel 3 years ago it was called the Azor. Now under new management, the Octant in Ponta Delgata looks to have kept most of the same look & feel of the previous establishment.

The Azor was one of our favorite overnight spots on the island - besides their roof deck pool & bar with stunning views of the city, the breakfast here was bar none👌🏼👌🏼 I’d go back just for that spread alone 😂

🌟New Post🌟

There’s nothing I love more than a few hours to spare and the chance to wander & explore a new city!

That exact opportunity presented itself a few weeks ago while in Pittsburgh for some dear friends’ wedding.

Turns out, you can see (and taste) a lot of the Lawrenceville district of Pittsburgh in a morning!

I cannot WAIT to share some of my favorite spots around New England with you all, like this easy ~1 mi walk right outside of Portland, ME.

Mackworth Island boast classic Maine scenes in every season. Also, could the pet cemetery found there be the inspiration for Stephen King’s famous novel? 😲

hey everyone!
I’m so happy to have you here 🤍

My name is Gracie and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite places and adventures with you!

You see, I have this problem. I go a little overboard when I plan trips. And I LOVE to plan trips. I also happen to live in and absolutely live for playing tour guide around Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.

For years now, friends and family members have been asking me for recommendations around New England, as well as for my itineraries for past trips to the Azores, Joshua Tree National Park, the Pacific Coast Highway…and quite honestly I got tired of emailing my detailed plans. So here we are - me with a new hobby and you (hopefully) with some new places to explore and local recommendations to try!

No, this is not my full-time job (more about that another day), but once-upon-a-time, giving tours was! I never tire of showing people around my favorite cities, and I hope to be able to give you all a glimpse of these exciting places through my blog & this IG account.

so smash that follow button and stay tuned!
