We did some updates to The Cozy Cottage. We have a 3 Season Sunroom on the back side of the cottage. The main season it is NOT meant for is winter.

When we bought the property, there wasn’t a door between the sunroom and dining room. There also wasn’t a window between the sunroom and laundry room.

That meant at least a 10° difference from the sunroom vs the bedroom on the opposite side of the house.

We didn’t want to basically heat the outside for another winter, so we had a set of French doors and an insulated window installed in the sunroom. It makes a huge difference in the temps in that area of the house.

And I just love the look 😍! It just levels it up a touch. It makes the dining room a perfect place for families that visit to be able to play games year round without running space heaters.

We made a few updated at the AIRBNB!

We added the Stay Awhile guest board, guest book and stand in the living room. I added some fun colored pens so our guests can get creative in the guest book.

Check out the cute little pen holder I made next to the sign 😁😉!

We added a bistro table and chairs to the sunroom for guests to enjoy a hot cup of coffee! Maybe not while we are in these frigid temps, but great for those warmer days.

I updated the guest book stand and bistro table with sanding, a little paint and sealer! I just love how they turned out.

Check out a few changes and additions made at The Cozy Cottage this week.

☕️ We updated our coffee station with this organized coffee essentials divider. Easier to see what’s available. For convenience, we moved the coffee pot closer to the sink. We picked up the divider at a new shop located in our historic downtown shopping district, Faraway Mercantile. Super cute fun place to shop.

💄 We added a hair/makeup mirror and seat to the bathroom counter making it the perfect vanity for a guests stay. My oldest daughter, Sarah, thought that would be a nice amenity to have available.

🕹️ And last but not least, we have added on to our vintage arcade games collection available for our guests to use during their stay. Galaga was getting lonely so we added Centipede to the collection. If you stay, make sure to tag our page with high scores!

Guests are responsible to bring their own pet essentials ie dog bowls, crates/kennels, leashes and tie outs. House trained, non-destructive dogs only.
