With all these graduations coming up, do you have an adventure in mind? Our son is graduating high school, he has a few ideas he has brought up to look into, one of which is in Nevada, the Lovelock Cave. I personally never heard of it until he said something, so we're looking into it, just to see what all info we can find. Most of the stress with travel is getting the info and planning, that's where I come in, I can help you find info, get pricing, and overall just help you have one less stress to worry about.

I know I haven't posted anything in a good while, I do apologize. I am still actively working to provide you will all your travel experiences and needs, just message me and I'll be glad to help in any way I can. We've been overly busy with our senior, he has picked and officially announced where he will be attending Fall 2022, Averett University. It's definitely an emotional roller-coaster, as he is my oldest and only son, I can't believe how fast time just flew by, but I am proud of everything. Which does bring me to traveling, we chose to travel as often as possible, why, because you, your kids, everyone is only this age once, so travel make those memories. You can always make money, but you can't make memories of time that you missed because at some point the routine of going to work day in and day out without a break has become a permanent habit. Break the habit, take the opportunity to spend some extra time with your loved ones, don't let life just pass you by!

Don't be afraid to travel, don't let time pass by and miss out on opportunities to go and see someplace new or even just a favorite spot worth visiting as often as possible. We went on a college football recruiting camp trip, then went to the beach to extend the trip out a bit longer, because soon enough he'll be in college and doing his own thing, yes he'll always come home and we'll make vacation plans, but this moment right now is the moment that won't be repeated again. Your only this age once, your kids are only this age once, plan, and take the trip, make the memories, take lots of pictures, because life waits for no one.

Our first cruise (for myself and my husband) was on Carnival Pride. It maybe a smaller ship, but it still gave the feeling of having plenty of space. More pictures on my photography page: Photography by Amiee

Carnival Pride facts:

-Spirit-class cruise ship

- Tonnage: 88,500 GT

-Length: 963 ft (294 m)

-Decks: 12 decks

-Speed: 22 knots (41 km/h; 25 mph)

-Capacity: 2,124 passengers

-Crew: 930

- began sailing from Port Canaveral, in January 2002 to Eastern and Western Caribbean ports. Then, from 2002 to March 2009, she sailed year-round cruises from Long Beach, California to the Mexican Riviera.

-On March 22, 2009, she sailed a Panama Canal voyage ending in Miami, Florida, and sailed Caribbean cruises out of that port until April 2009.

-Since April 2009, Carnival Pride was the first ship to sail year-round Bahamas/Caribbean cruises out of Baltimore, Maryland.

-From Baltimore, she also sailed a two-day cruise to nowhere without making any port of call from November 2 to 4, 2012, as a result of canceling an October departure due to closed port traffic after Hurricane Sandy.

- sailed out of Tampa in October 2014 until returning to Baltimore in March 2015.

-In November 2021 Carnival Pride is scheduled to return to Tampa, with the Carnival Legend taking its place in Baltimore.

Washington DC
Its definitely something to see. So many monuments, museums, so much to see, do, and learn. No matter if your into history or not, just the sheer talent it took to take the time to create every last detail is just amazing. Walk along, take a tour, don't forget your camera, definitely do as much of the hands on experiences as possible, it not just for kids ;)

Cocoa Beach, FL. If we could of moved there the day we arrived on our trip we would of!! Not to far from Port Canaveral, which is a bonus if your wanting a place to stay before or even after a cruise. I'll be posting cruise adventures soon. Plenty of places to explore on your own. When we go to places we like to find places off the beaten path, places that only get mentioned about, we talk to residents of the area that sometimes will show us the perfect spot for some of the best nature photography.

Va Beach, Virginia. Its a bit busier, but still has plenty of things to do for young and old. Whale watching in the winter is one of my big recommendations for something to do, in the summer you can go dolphin watching as well. If you love to walk and explore different places this is one beach where you can, stores, restaurants, bike rentals and more are right on the boardwalk. You'll see cargo and naval ships in the distance, jets fly overhead, its pretty awesome to see, sometimes the you can even get a friendly wave from the pilots and crew in the helicopters. :)

OBX, Outer Banks, NC. If you can't tell we are beach people, lol. So many things to see and do for sure, but that just means you can really pick and choose how you'd like to visit this area. Visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial, walk the coastline, shop, check out the many restaurants. Family activities all around, the possibilities are endless. Go check out the wildlife, but remember don't approach or feed them. Ask me about the resort weeks available, or even a hotel weekend stay, but if your anything like me, you'll definitely want to always look at a longer stay ;) planning early is how we do our bigger trips, with short trips tossed in when we can have the availability to do so. Take the trip, make the memories that'll last forever, and never forget to take lots of pictures!!

One of my favorite beaches, Topsail Island, North Carolina. Endless views, plenty of beach even during the busy summer season. Great shelling if you collect shells, wildlife all around to see. The surf city pier is picture perfect underneath with the wave crashing, while walking the pier you'll see both locals and island visitors all fishing and enjoying the time well spent. Its not a fast paced place, which is one of my top reasons for going as often as we can. It's a place to really just get away from it all and just relax, but definitely remember sunscreen ;)! There are plenty of island tours, definitely worth checking out. Visit the sea turtle hospital while your there, you never know you may get to see a sea turtle released back into the ocean, go during the right time of the year and you'll see the nests made from sea turtles. Walk the beach at night and bring a flash light to do some ghost crabbing. There are endless possibilities, and definitely my own personal recommendation of a place to visit.

With summer right around the corner, its time to get those travel plans finalized. Starting next week I'm going to highlight some of my own favorite destinations and some that I have on my personal bucket list. I'll share my experiences and pictures in the many places that I've gotten to travel to, what I liked, whats family friendly, whats great for couples.
