One of our guests’ favourite always at Abodes Of Krishna Satvik Kitchen…The evergreen tehri with garden fresh veggies! Equally delicious accompaniments which include tamatar chutney, pudina chutney and a kuchumber salad😊! Just as my mother would make it…her blessings, warmth and love has conceived the loving abodes that we have and her food has always been soul food as everyone would always recall💕we are overwhelmed when we strive to serve, keeping her in our minds and hearts❤️Hare Krishna

देवउठनी एकादशी को देव प्रबोधिनी एकादशी या देव उत्थान एकादशी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इस दिन जगत के पालनहार श्रीहरि विष्णु अपनी चार महीने की योग निद्रा से जागते हैं, इसलिए इस दिन इनकी विषेश पूजा की जाती है। यह एकादशी भगवान विष्णु को प्रसन्न करने के लिए बेहद उत्तम मानी जाती है।

Former Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata launched India's companionship startup for senior citizens, Goodfellows, to encourage intergenerational friendships.

Shantanu Naidu, an MBA graduate from Cornell University, founded the Goodfellows startup. He is the General Manager at Tata's office and is the fifth generation of his family to work in the Tata Group.

At the launch of Goodfellows, Ratan Tata said, "You do not know what it is like to be lonely until you spend time alone wishing for companionship." The startup appoints young graduates, 'Goodfellows', who help assist the senior citizens and provide companionship, "similar to what a grandkid would do."

The business model of Goodfellows is a freemium subscription model. The first month is free to have the senior citizen experience the service since it's hard to understand the concept without actually going through it. From the second month onward, a small subscription fee has been decided based on the limited affordability of pensioners.

In the future, Goodfellows plans to offer travel companions for seniors holding back from making trips due to lack of security or company. It also plans to extend its services to people with a disability facing similar or more challenges.

To understand the true nature of this divine love, one must acknowledge the fact that when we talk about Radha and Krishna, we cannot place them on the same plane as we put us, mere mortals. Talking about Radha and Krishna, Srila Prabhupada said that we must “understand the relationship between Radha and Krishna very carefully; it’s not like some mundane love affair between a young boy and a young girl.” He also observed that the love between Radha and Krishna is ‘parakiya’, but it is not in the same sense we know it to be. Srila Prabhupada explains, “…in the spiritual world, the highest, topmost level of love is parakiya. Parakiya means love – not by marriage, but by friendship. There, it is pure”.

The love that Radharani has for Krishna is, in fact, devotion in the highest form. Many consider Radha to be the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna and believe her to be the ‘Devotional Energy’ of Sri Krishna. This is one of the reasons why we always say Radha Krishna.

We dreamt of doing something which would be full of warmth, empathy and hospitality…”athithi devo bhava”, we wanted to be as close as we could be to our culture of embrace. Our concept stays on Airbnb, The Yatri Studio and Manmohana, are a reflection of us and we kept serving; today we are filled with immense gratitude and are beaming with joy to have been awarded “Superhost” by AirBnb. This acknowledgement is so humbling and would not have been possible without the blessings of Banke Biharij and all our guests who stayed with us and went away happy and in appreciation. Just a milestone and we strive to keep serving with love!
