Knotting Hill is the off- grid cabin in the woods that you have always dreamed of owning. Set in its own eleven acres of woodland this is a private space where you can escape into fantasy, for a little while at least!
The cabin lies in a completely private setting amidst, elegant silver birch, oak, cherry and chestnut trees. The wood is home to an abundance of wildlife, pheasants, squirrels, muntjack, red kites the occasional mink. You may even be befriended by resident ducks Phillis and Doris. Carpeted with bluebells in the spring and wildflowers in the summer the wood becomes your own natural haven.
Our wild swimming lake has a pontoon and canoes for you to enjoy. The lake is well stocked with fish, bring your rod and enjoy but please catch and return, don’t catch and eat!
As night falls on Knotting Hill, the spell is cast, and the camping glade comes alive with hundreds of fairy lights festooned high amongst the trees. Light bathes the BBQ firepit, pizza oven and wood fired hot tub allowing you to relax and enjoy these unique facilities until bedtime finally calls.
Panelled throughout in reclaimed wood with real attention to detail and the highest quality finish the interior is a design treat.
The cabin is heated throughout with underfloor heating. An Oak floor in the kitchen combine with flagstones in the living area and tiles in the bathroom whilst carpets in the bedrooms provide a touch of cosy luxury.
Ancient stone gate pillars framing a log burner create a striking focal point for the living area that warms the hot water. The stylish yet family friendly living area boasts high quality soft furnishings, mostly created by local craftsmen and women. Six-metre wide bi-fold doors each side transform the living area on sunny days into a breath-taking open space leading onto generous decking on each side for an all-round suntrap.
Our luxury bathrooms have heated floors and mirrors; uniquely an ancient stone trough serves as a sink, furnished with copper taps and brass surrounds. Soak away the day in the double ended bath with mirror TV at one end. Powerful showers inside and out have plenty of piping hot water.
The kitchen is equipped to the highest specification including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and gas range. A large fridge freezer provides cool water and ice on tap.
Despite its authenticity, the cabin is equipped with the latest technology. If you must connect our off-grid WIFI is pretty fast. The art work above the fire is also a 4k TV where you can access NETFLIX, Amazon etc. Imagine being able to fold back the floor to ceiling wall width doors and indulge your very own musical tastes at an unrestricted volume with our top of the range Cambridge Audio system that is easy to connect to by Bluetooth.
The Barn House has four carefully designed bedrooms sleeping eight people.
Bedroom one: En-suite with King size double bed.
Bedroom two: King sized double that can be split into two singles.
Attic room: One king sized bed can be split into two singles.
Attic room two: Two single beds. This room is accessed by a steep spiral staircase that is not suitable for the infirm elderly or for younger children, toddlers or infants.
Our camping glade close to the cabin is equipped with water and electricity and can accommodate several tents.
