One of the first things you'll notice when visiting Strasbourg, France are the giant nests sitting atop many of the buildings. Every spring, hundreds of storks migrate from Africa to the city center to lay their eggs. Incredibly faithful creatures, a stork will return to the same nest its entire life. According to local legend, good luck is bestowed to the occupants of any home that a stork chooses to build its nest.
