Beloved Food and Room Review:
The food was on par with other Excellence resorts. Beloved has French, Italian, Seafood and Steakhouse restaurants… but the star of the show is the Taco Truck! 24 hour room service is included and the resort also has a coffee shop that serves pastries and ice cream.
We stayed in a beachfront casita with private pool. I highly recommend this room! We loved the private pool as it was the coolest temperature of all the pools at the resort and it was extremely private. We had a server come around to our private pool every 25-30 minutes so we never wanted for anything. Our room temperature was cold which was amazing to combat the heat of August in Cancun. Our mini fridge was stocked daily with soda, beer, water, juices and several snacks. Room service seemed to come much faster at this smaller resort. I can’t recommend this room category enough!!

Beloved Playa Mujeres: Resort Review
Beloved is a quiet boutique property associated with the Excellence brand that we love so much. This property has 108 rooms and is located between Excellence Playa Mujeres and La Amada Residences. This property has 4 restaurants, a food truck, 24 hour room service, a full service spa, coffee shop, and two bars.
Just like the Excellence resorts, service is top tier and everything is truly all inclusive. The staff at this resort make you feel like family and work extremely hard to make sure you have the best vacation. The grounds are lush and well taken care of. It is extremely easy to navigate the small property. There is no towel game, easy to find a lounger at the main pool, swim up pools, or a palapa on the beach
The nightlife is simple and relaxing. No large shows, but enjoyable more relaxing evening entertainment is provided. Most entertainment concludes around 10-10:30.
I would definitely return for short stays but would not recommend for longer than 4 nights unless you truly need a very low key vacation.

Port Orleans- Riverside review:
Riverside is a beautiful moderate property at Disney world. It has bus and boat transportation (Disney Springs) and shares amenities with Port Orleans-French Quarter.
Pros: this is a great price point for a Disney resort! Having shared amenities with French Quarter and transportation between the two resorts is a plus.
Cons: large property with 4 bus stops, main transportation is by bus, and for a moderate resort it left me wanting more out of my experience.

Day 5: Magic Kingdom. We couldn’t have picked a better place to ring in the new year. This day from start to finish was so magical. We rode everything we wanted and more! Disney Genie+ was on fire today! We had lunch with the Beast in his castle and dinner at the Royal Table with Cinderella in her castle. The fireworks were beyond amazing!! This was definitely a night to remember and the start of an amazing year. ✨

Day 4: Rest Day. We slept in this morning and then headed to the Contemporary for a last minute surprise reservation for Dean at Chef Mickey’s. Pluto is his favorite character and he was so excited to get a hug today! After breakfast we came back for a swim at Pop. They had games around the pool and the weather was cloudy and warm. We headed to Ohana tonight for dinner. It was so good! We would definitely recommend this meal to others. Beware, it’s a lot of food! During dinner we were able to watch the firework show from our table inside Ohana. After dinner we walked around the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. All of the Christmas decorations were beautiful and the Gingerbread House in the Grand Floridian was impressive!

Day 3: Epcot. We ate and drank our way around the world today at Epcot, but I forgot to take pictures of all the food🤪 The food was good, Epcot was decorated beautifully for Christmas and there were so many extras in each country for guests to enjoy. We finally rode the skyliner today from Pop and that was super easy! Epcot struggled with having a few rides down at various times throughout the day and wait times were definitely high. Genie+ and lightening lanes helped us navigate the park with ease. We were able to try the two new rides that have opened since our last visit, Ratatouille and Guardians of the Galaxy. Guardians was definitely worth the hype and our favorite ride of the day! I am prone to motion sickness, but had no trouble on the ride. Our dinner was at La Hacienda and it gave us the perfect view of the nighttime show right from our table. This was a treat so that we were not having to fight the crowds for a viewing spot. We are all glad tomorrow is a rest day!

Day 2 Animal Kingdom: We love this park. It makes for an easy day and has one of our very favorite rides, Flight of Passage. We rope dropped Flight of Passage and then used a lightening lane pass to return for a second ride. Disney Genie and Lightning Lanes allowed us to ride everything we wanted with little to no wait! Kilimanjaro Safari, Dinosaur and Everest are also crowd pleasers. We enjoyed The Lion King show between lightening lanes. The main highlight of the park today was Yak and Yeti. The food was amazing!! David even said the egg roll was way better than our beloved Hunan Garden. We made our way back to the resort for an afternoon rest before heading to Disney Springs for dinner at Morimoto Asia. We were seated in front of the open kitchen and enjoyed watching the kitchen staff as they prepped the dishes to perfection. The food was once again amazing! Two Asian restaurants, different vibes and menus, both great food.

It’s Disney week for the Barrett family! We are staying at Pop Century a value resort. Today was check in day and dinner at California Grill. The resort has been a huge hit for Dean. He loves all of the “huge” memorabilia around the resort and David and I are feeling nostalgic for sure. Dinner with a view was amazing and I highly recommend California Grill if you have not had the opportunity to try it. Our reservation was for 7:10 and the fireworks started at 8:15 just in time for us to enjoy dessert.

Sandals Royal Bahamian Review: Beaches

One of the major draws to this resort is that it comes with its own private island with daily transportation included. The private island has a restaurant, pool, bar and several lounging areas on the beach. A ferry transports guests several times throughout the day and everything on the island is included.
But the real show stopper… is the water! Everywhere we went no matter if we were at the main resort or on the private island, the water was so beautiful. The actual width of the main beach is a small area with limited seating, but the private island had chairs, palapas and cabanas a plenty. Even while dining at restaurants, the water was breathtaking. Swimming was enjoyable and the water was warm. The ocean was clean and the sand was perfect.

Sandals Royal Bahamian Review: Room
We stayed in the West Bay Oversized Honeymoon Club Level room. It had plenty of room for the two of us. It was clean and the mini bar was stocked. We enjoyed the location of our room and while the balcony was small we could see the ocean from our room. Club level included the in room liquor and room service until 10:00pm.
The second set of room photos are from the hospitality room. This is where I give Sandals a huge shoutout! Our flight did not leave the Bahamas until 5:22 and room checkout is at 11. We were able to go swim in the ocean/pool and enjoy all of the resort amenities most of the day. When it was an hour before our transportation arrived, we were given a key to the hospitality room. This is a regular room category where we had full use of the room to shower and change before our flight home. This is offered to all Sandals guest no matter what level of room you book.

Sandals Royal Bahamian Review: Food

Sandals really shines in this area for all inclusive dining. The resort offers 10 restaurants and two food trucks. We were so full majority of our trip, we didn’t make it to the food trucks or all of the restaurants. We did enjoy Butch’s (Steakhouse), La Plume(French), Tesoro (Italian), Kanoo (breakfast buffet), Aralia House (Private Island Dining), and Calico (Beach grill). We stayed Club level so we had access to room service each day until 10:00pm. We only used it once for a snack, but felt like we had better options in the restaurants. Trust me when I say that you won’t have trouble finding something you like! Sandals allows you to customize their dining menu and are very attentive to food allergies/restrictions. Eat up, it’s good food!

Sandals Royal Bahamian Review: The resort

The resort is beautiful and has recently undergone renovations. The grounds were well maintained and workers were constantly grooming the lawn and cleaning various areas of the resort. This is one of the smaller properties but with the inclusion of the private island, it never felt too crowded. There are 2 main buildings, East Bay and West Bay. East Bay is connected to the quiet pool, spa and the Club level lounge. West Bay is connected to the party pool. 10 restaurants on site as well as two food trucks. The plane ride was 1 hour and 45 minutes from Charlotte. This makes this resort a great option for a quick getaway! 🇧🇸

Carnival Liberty Entertainment Review Part 4

This is where Carnival shines! The entertainment opportunities were endless and so much fun! We enjoyed the comedy club, casino, shows, and bingo! Some of the offerings we did not attend included karaoke, movies on the deck, deal or no deal, lobby musicians, and more.
My favorite was attending the Love and Marriage game show. I laughed so hard I was screaming! My advice to others cruising… don’t miss out on the entertainment.

Carnival Liberty Port Review Part 3
We stopped at two ports, Nassau and Princess Cay. Nassau offers several excursions or you can walk 3 minutes and be in their shopping district. Stores like Gucci, David Yurman, EFFY, Rolex line the streets along with other jewelry stores and souvenir shops. The best thing about shopping in Nassau is no sales tax! Otherwise, it is hot and the stores become repetitive. So unless you are specifically looking to make a purchase in Nassau, book an excursion or stay on the boat!
Princess Cay had fewer options for excursions, plenty of places to sit, and a couple of vendors set up selling souvenirs. While the Cheers package does not work on the island, a full lunch buffet is available and plenty of bars are available. The water was beautiful and swimmable making for a great relaxing port.

Carnival Liberty Review Part 2: Food
Everyone knows that on a cruise ship, the food is endless. With dining halls, specialty restaurants, buffets and more, you will not go hungry! Food in the dining hall was average, but the Carnival chocolate melting cake is delicious.
We enjoyed eating at the burrito bar, Guy Fieri’s hamburger joint, and of course a late night pizza. When Carnival gives you the opportunity to upgrade to the steakhouse, do it! It was our best meal on the boat and worth the 42.00 extra dollars.
The buffet was always stocked with so many choices, if you went hungry, that was on you.
The best part of the meals was meeting your servers that come from all over the globe. Many are away from their families for 6-9 months at a time to provide a better life… truly the gems of the ship!

Carnival Liberty Ship Review Part 1.
The ship is an older ship in the Carnival fleet. While other ships have improved in their decor and thrills on board, this ship did not limit our fun or safety. We stayed in the Captains Suite and it was fabulous! We had so much room to lounge and never felt cramped. Having two bathrooms and a huge balcony really felt luxurious even on the older ship. Carnival Liberty is one for all ages, with plenty to do for all age groups.

Booked the Royal Bahamian for a personal trip this August! As a travel agent, I think it is important to try new places and experiences. My husband and I love All-inclusive travel and have never experienced the Sandals brand.
