ASSOS ANTİK KENTİ/ÇANAKKALE 🔎

Kent sönmüş bir volkanik tepe üzerine, andezit kayalıkları arasına, denizden 236 metre yüksekliğe kurulmuş. Assos'un etrafında bol bulunan andezit taşı kentin inşasında kullanılmış. Assos taşı zor işlenen ama çok dayanıklı bir taş. Eskiler onun için yiyen taş diyorlarmış. Bu taştan yapılan lahitler zamanında Assos'dan ihraç edilen bir ürünmüş.
