Nothing makes me think YIKES more than seeing online forums and messages of people whose vacations were ruined because they got to their resort or hotel, and it was not as expected.

Now, some of you may not necessarily care too much about where you lay your head at night, you’re there to explore and enjoy the destination.

But for some of you, the resort or hotel experience can absolutely make or break your whole trip.

👉 My advice?

Don’t go off of the photos online, and outdated reviews you’re hoping still reflect the current situation.

🌟 Today is Global Travel Advisor Day!🌍

A year ago, I embarked on this entrepreneurial journey to fuel my passion for travel and destination events. With a background in planning events around the world, I knew it was time to channel my expertise into creating unforgettable experiences for my clients. Exploring new cultures and uncovering hidden gems has always been my joy, and now, I get to share that passion with you!

Some little known facts about me:

🔸My passion for traveling started when I signed up to do a volunteer project in a small village called Jonzac in France shortly after high school. My job was to rebuild a castle wall using old stone masonry techniques. I slept on a cot in the cafeteria of an old primary school with 20 other teens from around the world. Three of us decided to ditch the group and took a train to Paris to spend our last few days enjoying the city 😂

🔸I got inspired to plan events professionally when I saw J.Lo in the movie ‘The Wedding Planner’. So I left my job in early childhood to work for an event management firm in California. Let’s just say, it was more like working for the ‘Monster-in-Law’, so I decided to quit and go back to work in nonprofit.

🔸I love planning events for other people but when it comes to planning events for me and my family, I’d rather not do it 😅 So I’ve convinced my two young kids to take trips to celebrate their birthdays in lieu of me throwing their birthday parties 😂

🌟 I am still relishing every moment from our unforgettable European adventure! 🌍 From the dazzling streets of Paris to the serene beauty of Geneva and Zurich, our family trip was an absolute dream. ✨

Our hearts are still soaring from our stay at the magnificent Pullman Paris Montparnasse. The memories of their VIP service and warm hospitality continue to bring smiles to our faces. A HUGE thank you to their attentive staff, who graciously embraced and nurtured my children's fascination with all things Pokémon! We filled our days visiting the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, La Tour Eiffel, Disneyland Paris - not to mention an unforgettable lunch at the quintessential Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton café and their LV Dream Exhibition.

The next leg of our trip was to Switzerland and the charm of Geneva captured our hearts. Our stay at the Eastwest Hotel only added to the enchantment. I find myself reminiscing about the cozy ambiance and impeccable service and delicious cheese fondue at the famed Auberge de Saviese. A day trip to the village of Gruyere for a history lesson in cheesemaking and a quick jaunt to the historic Ca***er Chocolate factory for a taste of their decadent chocolate.

And then it was off to the breathtaking beauty of Zurich, where Alex Lake Zurich provided us with a sanctuary of relaxation and luxury. Danke schön, Alex Lake Zurich, for an unforgettable stay! We spent the day wandering the streets of Old Town Zurich. And of course, we couldn’t leave without a trip to the iconic Lindt Home of Chocolate, where we lived out our W***y Wonka dreams.

As we continue to reel in delight over the memories of our European escapade, we extend our sincerest gratitude to these wonderful hotel partners. We barely scratched the surface and can’t wait to go back again. Until next time, Europe! 🇫🇷🇨🇭
