🌌 Are you aware that we're in the heart of Welsh Dark Sky Week? From the 9th to the 18th of February, The Dark Sky initiative aims to raise awareness about reducing light pollution for future generations and encourage more people to take part in dark skies activities.

The location of the Rock was Ideal for our stay. Symonds Yat view point just 25 minutes walk away with forest trails just across the road. We stayed in the Forest View cottage which had everything we needed and more. Our hosts had supplied a range of teas and coffees, and even 2 pints of milk in the...

Great eggcitment! @ The Rock this last week. Three weeks ago we set some eggs under our beautiful gold laced Wyandotte broody, Hermione, and the rest in the incubator and look at these stunning chicks that have hatched - 9 in total, several breeds and after some worrying moments, all out on the grass carefully watched by their foster mum.

Maple is Lodge is the larger of our two garden lodges with private balcony and patio enjoying stunning 25 mile views over open countryside. Maple Lodge offers an open plan contemporary styled kitchen/living/sleeping area and bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail, all on the ground floor with no steps. Sleeping two, there is a king-sized bed and one infant/child can be accomodated in a travel cot or folding bed if needed. Prices from £71 per night.
