Incase you haven’t realised yet from the countless posts we do of them, Hyena’s are our absolute favourite!!! So we are over the moon they get their OWN day to celebrate just how special they truly are! This GORGEOUS picture was captured at in the makgadikgadi salt pans.

The beautiful pinks of the setting sun, filling the sky behind this clan of brown hyenas. The brown hyena is a lot more elusive than the spotted hyena, adapted to surviving in the arid Kalahari and Namib deserts. They are distinguished by their shaggy brown fur and pointed ears. We think they are just too adorable for words!

Kids on Safari

At Ingwe Africa, everyone is important!! Even the little ones. We have sought out the best lodges that will accommodate you and your families needs making sure no one is left out! One of our family favourites is . Thinking of bringing the little ones on Safari? This is what you can expect:

"Our Kids’ Programme commences after breakfast, giving parents the opportunity to enjoy a bush walk. A dedicated guide will take charge of the childrens’ bush activities, which may include a specially planned game drive, nature walk, tracking, bird identification, a bush treasure hunt and spoor casting. Learning how to make a toothbrush from a Gwarrie Tree is an all-time favourite!

Back at the lodge great fun is had in the Safari Playroom, which is stocked with a collection of games, toys and creative mediums for arts and crafts. An outdoor playground is a good place to expend some energy, with a jungle gym and garden games.

Where there is water there is laughter. We have a shallow kiddies’ pool for our younger guests, while more confident swimmers will enjoy hiding behind the waterfall as it cascades from the rocks to the main pool. If you are lucky, you’ll get to watch elephants drinking from the pools of water in the river bed nearby.”

Welcome to Botswanas first National Park! Situated in the north, Chobe is popular for its large herds of elephants and buffalos, as well as the healthy lion population! Activities can include both game drives and boat safaris on the Chobe River.

The closest town and airport is Kasane airport, which is also just a 1h30 drive from Victoria Falls making it easily accessible! Accommodation ranges from camping, houseboats along the Chobe River, entry-level lodging to ultra-luxe 5 star establishments.
