Another lovely warm day today - took a break from the gardening and DIY and headed off for a lovely walk in brilliant sunshine in 25 degrees! Dot & Olive loved it and so did we. . Found these rather large loungers by the lake for a rest in Montpon-Menesterol (just a 40 minute drive away)
Its not too late to catch the lovely warm Autumn days here.

"Diana and David were friendly, kind and helpful hosts. There if you needed them. The gite surpassed our expectations in that there was plenty of private outside space both at the front and rear of the property...thus allowing for sitting in/ out of the sunshine until late into the evening. The pool was spotless and a great size. Inside the gite was immaculate and our hosts had catered well, equipment wise...nothing had been overlooked. So we would highly recommend booking a gite at Chez Goret!"

Pool house completed pool glistening and garden tidy. Useless Eustace in his new position. Well done to David & Mark for moving him - he was pretty heavy!

Very busy here at Chez Goret getting everything ready for the season including putting up a new pergola on the pool terrace. Moving "Useless Eustace" statue to a new position is going to be a challenge as very heavy! But he kept David right whilst pergola was being erected

Despite the wet weather spring is in the air here at Chez Goret, temperatures forecast to hit 18 degrees this week with some sunshine! Can't wait to get out in the garden to get it ready for some spring planting and the coming season
