Mellieha is a good base to explore the islands of Comino and Gozo. Consider renting a private boat. There are many 4 star hotels in this area of Malta.
Atrani has the uglier but quieter beach. The town is more peaceful that Amalfi. It’s longer to descend from Pontone to Atrani but more gently sloping. Pontone is quaint. There is only 1 bar and two restaurants in a disappearing little town, but the views are good and everyone has a lemon farm. Ravello is such a hidden gem on top of the mountain. It has a commune turned gardens with breathtaking views. It’s full of 5 star hotels, fantastic restaurants, terraces, and boutiques. And then there is Positano: gorgeous but too crowded during July and August. Frenello beach is better than Spiagga. Consider spending a day at a private beach club.

Spending a week in St Martin hasn’t been bad. There are so many secluded beaches and beautiful pools plus boutiques and cute places to eat. It’s a little difficult to run though. I’ve managed to get some work done too!
We are on the French side of the island now. Outlets, currency, accents, and language are all different. Clothing is much more optional too! The sargassum hits this side, but they clean it up quickly. There is a salt flat by our condo. I walked to the corner store and bought a baguette and demanded that chris eat it while chasing it down with some red wine and wearing a speedo/banana hammock. I wanted him to fully emmerse himself in the culture.
