I was greeted by this beautiful buzzard at The Hoot this morning looking beautifully autumnal.

The nights are drawing in and there are lots of creatures taking advantage of our woodpiles to hibernate, together with the emergence of mushrooms and fungi creating a very different feel to our special space. We will be CLOSING in a couple of weeks for maintenance and improvements until Easter next year but The Potting Shed will remain open for now.

Many thanks to all our lovely guests this year and special mention to the four gentlemen who decided The Hoot was the perfect place to propose to their partners during their stay! (They all said YES!💍)

The Hoot is a very special place and we have been busy creating another unique retreat in a nearby location. We will be opening in a few weeks and details will be on Airbnb. “The Potting Shed” reflects my personal love of growing flowers, vegetables and all things botanical and is set within our little orchard.

Our little Wood was planted just over 20 years ago and has changed the landscape and offered a sanctuary for both Wildlife and people !
