Hey we are open all winter this year! We have a two night minimum too (until the end of April 2024). If you’d like to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet we have the perfect place!

The Dinosaur Mummy The recent discovery of a dinosaur mummy has left archaeologists baffled. This dinosaur mummy is one of the best preserved ever found. This is evident from the appearance of the mummy, which still has intact skin and a hard shell. The fossil, which was found purely by chance while miners were drilling in Canada, is thought to be more than 110 million years old. The mummy was placed in the Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology in Alberta, Canada.

10 kayaks to rent daily! Please arrive 15 minutes prior to paddle time to sign waiver and get your life vest!

‼️Alright, secrets out‼️

Machias Seal Island is still disputed territory between the 🇱🇷 & 🇨🇦. It remains one of the few places that is occupied by lighthouse keepers. It is also a protected Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This means it is a huge privilege to visit the island. Only a very limited number of people are able to land and visit MSI daily.

This was taken almost three years ago and although much has changed in our place next door the view from this balcony has not. This is sunrise and I love the sound of the gulls and the colours of the sky and landscape. Spring is almost here and we are starting to fill up fast! Look forward to our summer ahead and all who stay in our little cottage ❤️

There are many places to stay on Grand Manan Island that are both comfortable and unique. Our cottage has one big bedroom with a king size bed (plus cots if needed) and 1 1/2 bathrooms. It also has stairs leading to the front door and carpeted stairs leading up to the bedroom.
We realize this is not ideal for some with limited abilities so we just want to give a shout out to the new one level 2 bedroom cottages down on Ingalls Head rd known as Turning Tides. Thanks all

Next Summer 2023 I’ll be getting my rug hooking studio set up next door. You can check out my work on Mighty Island Rugs page here on Facebook. These are a few examples of my work. I will also have kits available as well as lessons for those wanting to learn the art of primitive rug hooking. It’s origins began here in the Maritimes as well!
