This young boy showed me around Pelungu village with the utmost confidence and sweetness! If you know me, you know that children are my absolute kryptonite!

In Pelungu village, hand making shea butter has been a means of income for hundreds of years.

The process is LONG, yet so rewarding for the women, as it’s a huge part of their economy in the village.

Happy new month family! ✨personality picture featuring my waakye from Ghana 🇬🇭

My name is Niadi! I am 25 years old. Born and raised in North Carolina, I am a passionate entrepreneur, philanthropist, daughter, friend, African travel enthusiast and more. You can find me in my own imagination, creating a place where we are all light as feathers in a world that can sometimes feel so HEAVY. My hope is that your first visit to the African continent is as magical and transformative as mine. My hope is that children across the globe love themselves unconditionally. That those children who become adults experience so much light on their journey that it creates a ripple effect of empathetic change makers who refuse to accept the status quo.

One thing I strongly believe in is dreaming with no limits. A motto I model my life by is “Feel the fear. Do it anyway.” To dream with no limits requires a level of insanity. To believe that against all odds, you can take calculated risks that might not make sense to other people seems INSANE.

But, my charge to you is to walk in that. Feel it. Breath it. Cry about it. Laugh about it. Love your journey for it’s crooked edges and narrow alleys that lead you to your next level.

Ask yourself, if you could do anything in this world, absent of people’s opinions, money restrictions and corporate America’s demands, what would you do ? How would you live your beautiful, precious life ?

Pictured: my second ever product photo shoot for BRAAFIË! My roommate was my photographer this day! Shout out to her for holding it down! 🥰

One thing I know you understand and/or value is the fact that diligence and good attitude during the process leads to inevitable growth.

In entrepreneurship, some days you may have to be the editor, the photographer, the model, the social media manager, the product selector and the list goes on! It can become overwhelming on those days, but the skills you take away and the shift of your mind as you become quicker at problem solving, balancing tasks and dealing with humans outweighs the inconveniences.

The love you grow for your customers and supporters as you learn more about who you are, what you stand for and how your gifts can help them solve their problems outweigh the inconveniences.

The learning and appreciating time management during the process outweighs the inconveniences.

The moral: the inconveniences life throw at you on your journey will never outweigh a strong why. Keep pouring your heart into the things that fill your cup Kings and Queens! Pictured: me with this absolutely BEAUTIFUL bag I found in the market. Y’all let me know if you like it, love it or dislike it! I’m surrounded by more beautiful bags and baskets that are hand crafted by artisans at the art center in Accra, Ghana. 🇬🇭 today was spent searching for potential products for y’all. I had so much fun learning about how they created these baskets, purses and shoulder bags.

I asked him how long it typically takes to make one… he said a week.

Browsing the market in Ghana and negotiating prices is one of the coolest things ever to me! Hearing their stories behind the work is even cooler! And one thing about them: They are going to show you their work regardless of your decision to buy 😭😭😭

The art center was one of my LAST stops, so by this time I was exhausted lol but held on until my final purchase.
