They said "it's too cold for cats" at the launch in the morning. We happened to pull out our boats at the same time and I proved them wrong.

A quick stop at Lakeside Bait & Tackle for some live bait before hitting the water was the best decision made all day, other than the decision to go fishing of course.

March 2nd and we're already slamming cats. 20 fish caught in 6 hours, several over eight pounds. All fish live released....
