Cruises are known for their wheelchair accessibility and Explora more than meets this standard. We’ve experienced firsthand how incredible Explora Voyages’ accessibility is and we came away pleased.

The cabins are spacious and comfortable, with bathrooms that offer plenty of room and a very accessible roll-in shower. The balcony is a standout, featuring a power sliding door with zero threshold and a slight ramp—the best we’ve ever seen on a cruise ship. They even provide a pool chair that can be used at two of their six pools, which is a nice touch.

All public restrooms are equipped with powered sliding doors, and there are numerous accessible restrooms throughout the ship. The spa, shown in the final photo, also boasts a fully accessible restroom/shower, which is uncommon and incredibly convenient.

Overall, this ship’s accessibility is better than most, ensuring everyone can enjoy their journey to the fullest.

Embark on a culinary journey aboard Explora.

Savor the exquisite French cuisine at Fil Rouge and enjoy the authentic Pan-Asian dishes at Sakura. Every meal is truly a step above the standard cruise cuisine. For steak lovers, the Marble & Co. Grill offers perfectly cooked cuts that are sure to impress. The Med Yacht Club creates a vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere with its fresh seafood and lively ambience.

And don’t miss Anthology, where modern gastronomy meets classic flavors in a dining experience that is both innovative and exquisite.

Bon appétit and bon voyage!

We’ve been fortunate to stay at some truly fabulous hotels and fly on some amazing flights during our personal travels and we decided we wanted to showcase some of our favorites.

So, welcome to the first in our series on favorite stays and rides!

First up on our fave’s list - Hyatt Regency Mainz

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency Mainz, where modern luxury unpretentious on the iconic Rhine River. This modern Presidential Suite was a dream, with its private sauna, grand piano, and breathtaking river views—truly an unforgettable experience.

Just a short drive from Frankfurt, this hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Mainz’s historic town and attractions. We enjoyed the enchanting medieval architecture and the festive season brought extra magic with the wonderful Christmas market just a short walk away from the hotel.

With warm service, stunning views, and modern comforts, the Hyatt Regency Mainz offers an exceptional stay.

Just had the most incredible stay at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo!

The service was outstanding (as service normally is in Japan already), the food was a culinary delight, and the views were simply breathtaking—especially of the landmark Tokyo SkyTree. The hotel’s modern yet authentic Japanese style creates a serene oasis in the heart of the city. And the best part? It’s perfectly located for exploring Tokyo, with direct access to the extensive subway system.

And is there a better view from the public restroom? Nope.
