Hwange National Park is an important stronghold for lions, with the greater Hwange ecosystem holding 500 - 700 individuals.

Verney's Camp is situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park on a private concession. The camp has a true classic safari feel, mixed with glamour.

Verney’s Camp luxurious tents are tucked under a teak forest that opens up onto an impressive plain with a central waterhole. During the dry season the spectacle of elephants outside the tents never stops. Simply sit outside on your private deck and watch hundreds come down to drink from the waterhole.

This image of five cheetahs in a tree is a great example of what incredible sights Hwange can offer.

Cheetah are classified as 'vulnerable' to extinction. It is amazing to see them in their natural habitat, especially in a large group such as this- the result of one incredible cheetah mother successfully raising 4 cubs against all odds.

Looking for a family friendly option in Hwange?
Tom’s Little Hide is a private Safari House. It accommodates up to 6 adults and 4 children in three beautiful safari-chic rooms overlooking a waterhole. The third room has an inter-leading passage to a children's room. Children of any age are welcome.

The Safari House has its own lounge, dining room, swimming pool and accommodation. It comes with a private professional guide who is excellent with children. Guests on a private safari here set the pace and time of all included activities.

This romantic sleep-out deck at Elephant's Eye Hwange, with its luxurious star-bed, is situated at a waterhole letting guests view a wide variety of animals coming and going in total privacy. The deck is on 2 levels, with a bathroom underneath and the bed covered with a mosquito net.
