I just LOVE that we get to play a part in families creating wonderful memories together (that could last a lifetime). It’s a highlight for me to come & check out the property once guest leave-to see if they left me a note,😁 & when the kiddos leave me one…aahh so SWEET!🥰
So a tip: if you stay at vacation rentals/Airbnb, etc. & there is a guestbook available, leave a note. If your host or property manager is anything like me, they just may pour their heart into making your stay extra special. Getting a note about what you did, what you enjoyed, how things went-it can mean a lot!❤️

Just never know how well things are doing after winter (which is a bit slower)…but woohoo, we did it again! Summer is pretty much booked at the lake cottage Memorial wknd thru fall, but we have a few weeks /wknds available at the log cabin in the country. See links in comments. Thanks so much to those that have been guests, & to those spreading the word about our cozy getaways.🙏🏻

Over the last few days, the lake has been very active sound wise. A few people have asked about it, so I thought I would share a link. Before moving here we had no idea about this. I wonder if it’s more noticeable this year because there isn’t snow on the ice? Pretty fascinating though.

Again- blessed with the best guests! Hosted a lovely family from Houston, & when I stopped by to do laundryafter they left-I was blown away! Not only had they already done the laundry (not required), but they left the sweetest notes, a picture from their daughter, a beautiful orchid, & some really cute tea towels. I love taking care of people, but now & then, guests like to flip things a bit & send some TLC my way. It made my day! The greeters. Even on days when the world seems dark, these sweeties ALWAYS make me smile. They live next door, but know us (& that we have treats😉), so come running when we drive up the shared driveway.
