LIVER REJUVENATING TONIC
If you are feeling sluggish, lacking in energy, or feeling as though you have difficulty losing weight, your liver may need a little help. Your liver, the 2nd largest organ in your body works 24/7 filtering toxins and residues but if your diet has been less than ideal, you may need to consider targeting the health of your liver.
Lemons are a power food when it comes to targeting the liver and thankfully in WA lemons are grown in abundance. Each morning before food (plus throughout the day before meals if you like), drink this refreshing tea which also includes cayenne pepper, another potent liver food. Add this to your cup:
Juice of one Lemon
1 teaspoon of raw honey
Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Top up with water
You will be delighted with an instant zest. Of course, eliminating the things which are overloading your liver such as junk food, soft drinks, bad fats, excess alcohol etc. will also do more to help rejuvenate your liver.
