Breezy days ........perfect for kite surfing!
If you are in Newquay this winter The Headland Hotel and Spa has an offer for dip and dine which we highly recommend! Take time in the indoor and outdoor pools before supper in The Deck. Well worth a visit.
We highly recommend for some delicious fish and chips! Crispy batter, fresh fish and crispy chips on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Gooseneck barnacles washed up on Fistral.
It wasn't until I got back home and looked them up that I realised they are an expensive delicacy, especially in Spain and Portugal.
A lovely day taking the ferry from Padstow to Rock and a wonderful lunch sitting outside in the November sunshine!
Fascinating walk round Tintagel and the castle ruins
King Arthur
I am here in Newquay trying to find my equilibrium again after loosing my Mum. This photo was taken in January when we were down here having some Mum and daughter time.
Absolutely delighted with reviews left in the guest book when we visited in June. It seems such a long time ago and I am missing Cornwall so much!
We still have availability on August 26th
Little Fistral a few weeks ago when the bay was so calm the waves weren't even good enough for body boarding.
It was lovely to meet Trudie, a local artist who has a unit at Killacourt. Overlooking Towan Beach, there are several small units with small start up businesses, a great addition to Newquay!
There has been a lot of high tides this year which has caused the dunes at Crantock to become unstable so please stay safe and keep away from them.
Don't forget you can get a ferry across to Crantock Beach from The Fern Pit Cafe. You may even get to meet Morse and Fern the ferry pups!
Some of the beautiful flowers growing around Newquay. We loved all the different aromas in the air on our walks too.
Sunset over Lewinnick Lodge.
A short walk from the apartment and serving delicious food with spectacular views!
Newquay harbour
Once you see this sign on the A30 you are about 50 minutes away from the apartment!
Steps down to the harbour beach.
As you come along the A30 in Devon you will see these trees on a hill on the left. Known in Cornwall as the 'coming home trees' they tell you that you are almost in Cornwall..
They are very distinct but I couldn't get a decent photo from a distance but you will know when you see them!
How spectacular is the colour of the sea?!
Walking along the coastal path into Newquay with sea views all the way!
Sunset over the dunes.
Baby Seagulls nesting in a garage roof..... Very fluffy and cute at this stage but goodness, they make a mess of the windows when they get older!
Poppies on West Pentire!
Sea pinks
Last night's sunset from the balcony...
Who needs the med when you can have days like this!
Winter bridge across the Gannel
A coronation welcome to this week's guests
Just loving those colours.....
I absolutely love the style of Anya's work so have purchased several pieces to adorn the hallway! These three are of Port Isaac, Padstow and Mevagissey. Purchased from Warwickshire Artisans.
Dreaming of being back in Cornwall....
Keeping you safe...
LIFEGUARDS ARE BACK 🙌
The Lifeguards are back at Fistral from today.
They will be on the beach 10:00 - 18:00, every day.
Please do keep to the flags.
Red & yellow - swimming & bodyboarding.
Black & white - Surfing.
What a lovely review, thank you Angela!
Beautifully presented apartment in prime location
The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need. Immaculately clean. Wonderful views over Fistral Beach from the lounge. Safe, underground parking was a real bonus. Easy short walk to the beach, local cafes and restaurants. Good location for access to local attractions. Would definitely stay again.
The RNLI flag flying proudly at Newquay harbour.
Loving all the colours in these muscle shells and the whirlpool pattern.
Easter fun in Newquay harbour!
Join us on Easter Sunday for the first Newquay RNLI Lifeboats Easter Egg Hunt in Newquay Harbour. Kids of all ages can enjoy hunting for the clues hidden around the harbour, solve the puzzle and receive a chocolaty prize and goodies from the RNLI Shop.
PLUS for some lucky grown ups there will be a surprise for you to collect too! Anyone for a free pint of chilled Sharp's Brewery Offshore, or a glass of Sea Change Wine to relax with at The Boathouse - Street Food on the Beach after all the treasure hunting?
The lifeboat house and shop will be open and perhaps even Stormy Stan will be making an appearance. And of course we will be open serving food and refreshments for hungry tummies and worn out adults!
The Easter Egg hunt if FREE to all, Sunday 9th April, 10am - 3pm. Collect your treasure map from the Lifeboat Shop and return it to them when you're done.
We're so eggcited and hopping to see you all there! 😂
