Our last day was spent at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas. It’s one of my favorite places to be and I loved my breakfast view m! We spent the day on the beach and floating around in the water but you can also rent snorkel equipment, aquatrikes, bicycles, jet skis, and more! We ended the day with a beautiful set and a final farewell from captain Mickey, all decked out in his 25th anniversary sparkles!

Day 3 was in Nassau. We took a ship tour to learn about lots of design elements, watched a movie (Disney Cruises have first run movies playing at the movie theatre and ALWAYS have a kids movie playing on the pool deck) got off the ship for a bit, and got dressed up for dinner before taking in some live music and enjoying the Pirate night festivities and fireworks!

Highlights of our day at Sea: we ate a delectable brunch at Palo, an adult only restaurant available for a nominal fee, checked out the other adult only restaurant before it was open, enjoyed relaxation in the adult only infinity pool and dined in Arendelle with all the frozen friends giving a live performance!!

Time to set sail!!! We had dinner at World of Marvel. On a Disney cruise, you keep the same wait staff for the duration, but you rotate to different dining room every night. The different restaurants have a different menu theme and entertainment during dinner!

Day 1: Disney Wish is less than a year old and it’s a beautiful ship!! When you first board, there are no scheduled activities, and all areas of the ship are open for exploration. So, after admiring the great hall, we headed to the incredible kids, clubs, sports deck and spa before heading to our room to find a lovely welcome gift!

We had an amazing last day on Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCay. We didn’t book any excursions but enjoyed the beach and pool. Next time we’ll rent jet skis or visit the thrill water park! We’re excited for an ice skating show and karaoke tonight.

Another day at sea today! In addition to more ziplining and lots of fun in the pools and all 3 water slides, we did laser tag, rock climbing, trivia, a fun fair on the Boardwalk and a scavenger hunt! We’re excited to see a diving show at the aqua theater tonight!

Highlights from a gorgeous day in St. Thomas at Magen’s Bay. We went on our own and took a shuttle there but you can also book excursions through Royal Caribbean! We rented snorkels and saw sea turtles, lots of fish, and pelicans diving right next to us!! Tonight we’re seeing Hairspray in the main theater. No photos allowed but I can’t wait to see a broadway show on board!

Spent the day on an island tour of St. Maarten! We stopped at 5 different places including an iguana farm, and the French capital, Marigot. We watched planes land right over our heads at Maho beach while getting some hair braids and stopped for a few hours to enjoy another incredible beach!! The kids asked to go to the kids club after dinner so we’re headed to an adult comedy show!

Sea day! After a trip to the fitness center , we found some food and beautiful and peaceful scenery on deck 8 in Central Park. There are balcony rooms here if you’d prefer to look out onto the park instead of the ocean!

We secured an early port arrival time so we could have as much ship time as possible. By 12:15pm we were on board ready to explore the boat. We rode the carousel along the boardwalk first and with bathing suits in a carry on bag, we were ready to hop on the flow rider surf simulator without a wait. There is SO much to do on this ship!!

Resort spotlight: Sapphire Falls resort at Universal Orlando. We chose this resort because it has a water taxi and a beautiful pool (that I can’t adequately capture because it’s closed for storms every time I try). For this trip, we didn’t need express pass because crowds are low so it seemed like a good opportunity to try a resort that isn’t premier. (Premier resorts have express pass unlimited included for free and it is nearly ALWAYS a better deal to stay there than stay elsewhere and buy express passes). I’m really pleased with this resort and it’s multiple restaurants/bars and the water taxi is awesome!
