A dream come true.
Matapalo Beach is one of many less traveled beaches in Costa Rica. This 7 Kilometres long beach is located just south of Manuel Antonio National Park, being the last public beach limiting the protected mangroves of the Portalón and Savegre rivers.
This hidden paradise is unspoiled by human intervention which keeps it rich in wildlife and breath taking sceneries. A local Kayak tour company Rafiki Beach Camp can take you out for a paddle around the Savegre river mouth and mangrove estuaries.
Accommodation is possible at a handful of small beach hotels including Rafiki Beach Camp and Paola's Beachfront Villas - Costa Rica. Matapalo, Central Pacific Coast.
Volunteering is also possible here at the Matapalo Turtle Rescue Camp and Environment Protection .

This is a very nice and small glamping site right on the beautiful beach of Matapalo on the South Pacific. Besides enjoying the sun, sea, beach and a nice swimming pool, you can also do a lot, like kayaking in the mangroves! Highly recommended for spotting wildlife. But, you don't have to leave the Beach Camp for that, because monkeys, sloths and tropical birds are regularly seen there!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
