Medieval tower located in the historic center of the Polish city of Legnica. Currently it is used as a low-cost hotel. Chojnowska Tower was built in the fifteenth century as part of the fortifications surrounding the city. It performed purely defensive functions, as a platform for observing the surroundings. During its century-long history the building was reconstructed several times. During the last one - in 1963 - a double row of windows was added, and rooms adapted for sleeping were created on some floors. Thus the city authorities started the inn period of the tower. Nonetheless, the Gothic facade of the Chojnova Tower and the window openings remained in their original shape.
