Did you know that Fort Barrington, located on the southwestern coast of Antigua, played a significant role in defending the island from potential invasions? 🏰🚢

The fort was constructed in the late 18th century and was named after the British Admiral Lord Barrington. It was strategically positioned on a hill overlooking Deep Bay and served as a lookout point for spotting approaching ships. Fort Barrington's design includes stone walls, gun emplacements, and a tower that housed soldiers and cannons.
