Ice fishing guide on Okoboji Chain of lakes and on Big Spirit Lake

Our names are Adam and Dom Schirmer we are based out of Southern Minnesota and NW Iowa. We will be doing guide trips on the Okoboji Chain and Big Spirit Lake. We both have 7+ years fishing on the Okoboji Chain and on Big Spirit Lake. We will be mainly chasing bluegill, perch, crappie and yellow bass. Pricing will be $300 flat rate for a full day and for a half day it would be $150. Please go get y

The last couple of days I scouted some new waters and it was on fire. I caught a lot of fish the quality and quantity is in the area I was at. We have been checking ice and doing some scouting during the week and we are gonna start taking clients out on January 12th. The ice does vary from spot to spot we have found 4 inches then a few feet away it would only be a inch so if you do get out use your saftey equipment and check the ice as your walking. Got out yesterday afternoon for a few hours and got into some beautiful Okoboji bluegills. We got business cards in and have some down at Oakhill Outdoor. When you get your fishing needs grab a card and check us out on our social media's and let people know about us. We have openings still available give us a call or shoot us a message.

Got out this morning and found them. Got my limit of bluegills within 5 hours and had 4 perch and a couple crappie in the mix.

Went out this morning and did some more scouting and got on a good bite for these beautiful big bluegills, perch and crappie. Don't forget to call and reserve a spot with us to get on these beautiful fish.

Went and did some ice checks today. Big Spirit- Anglers bay has 8 inches, state boat ramp has 5 inches, and marble beach has 5 inches. West Okoboji needs a few more days on triboji I checked at the boat ramp off the beach and it took one hit with my spud bar and went through I checked off the other parking lot there and had 3 inches Emerson has 3 inches, and little Emerson has 4 inches I walked on at camp Okoboji to check that. East Okoboji the boat ramp across from k*m and go has 5 inches but it gets thin out aways from the ramp and you can tell where the thickness changes, in front of the barefoot/snappers has 8 inches and off the Ritz looked pretty spotty from the geese keeping it open in spots so I didn't walk out there to check that at all. Minniwashta has 8 inches. If you go out by yourself or even with someone make sure you have your safety equipment and always check the ice as your walking to your spot cause early ice it can be spotty out aways from shore on the main lakes. Safety first then tight lines.

Got out and did some more scouting this afternoon for a hour and a half. The fish were fired up this afternoon. Caught a lot of quality fish had to go through some smaller ones and up size my jig for the nice ones. We are on a good pattern right now. I'm going to go tomorrow and do ice checks on Big Spirit, West Okoboji and East Okoboji on the main landings and will keep you updated on the ice conditions. We are accepting bookings now give us a call and book a trip.

Went out this morning and did some more scouting on big spirit this time. Ended up catching 56 fish total the fish were fired up. Another multi-species morning with some smaller and some keepr perch alot of small gills a nice crappie and a couple walleye and a really nice one all fish was catch and release. Don't forget to give us a call and get a spot reserved with us.

Went out and checked ice at a couple spots today and did some scouting on my spots in the morning i went on East okoboji in front of barefoot I had 5 inches in every hole I drilled the fishing was slow I did mark a few and caught a few. In the afternoon I went over to Minniwashta and I had 4-5 inches in every hole I drilled I caught a lot of fish there and a variety. The size could of been better but still would of got some to take home. I did catch some bluegills to I guess I didn't get a picture of one.

I did some ice checks yesterday and today in a couple areas on Big Spirit and Okoboji Chain and with the temps dropping in the future we will be out there before we know it.
