One of the best things about the beach is how dynamic it is! This storm was in July. We were sitting on the beach facing the ocean, when you looked South you saw these ominous clouds quickly inching closer, but if you looked North it was still a beautiful bluebird day. My beach-loving Aunt and I held out as long as we could, long after the rest of the family headed back to the house. I joked that if we just pointed our chairs North everything was fine! Watching storms roll in is one of the coolest OBX experiences!
