The efforts to rescue 2 climbers who were stranded on Annapurna at 7000m have been successful. A helicopter was dispatched from Kathmandu to the higher camps, and they have been safely picked up and taken to the Basecamp.

Today, the team came together for a puja ceremony at K2 Base Camp to ask the mountain for safe passage in the days ahead!

While they wait for good weather, our climbers are resting up and preparing to make their way higher up the mountain. All is well on K2!

Triumph and Tragedy in the Pakistani mountains

While On Nanga Parbat, Shehroz and Fazl Shamshali were rescued back to comfort zone this afternoon, another wave of tragic news from Broad Peak and Gashabrums is trending up in the media.

Pakistani mountaineer Sharif Sadpara was fallen into China from the summit Ridge of Broad Peak on July 5th in the morning. According to his fellow climber Dilawar Sadpara, they tried to rescue him but didn't go successful.

On the Gashabrum side, Imran Karim Shimshali reportedly fallen to death into a crevasse during a solo rotation trip on July 4. And the news coming up now!

Apart of the great great loss of the mountain heroes, the more painful picture of the scenario is that they were not reached out for rescue until too late. On Broad Peak, the news coming in now for search and rescue after 4 days of the accident!

RIP The Great Legend!!!
Karim Shimshali, who was part of an expedition at Gasharbrum-II peak (8,035m), has reportedly faced an accident and lost his life this morning.

According to some initial reports, he had gone on a solo trek from the basecamp when the accident happened.

Iman Karim was part of an expedition along with noted mountaineer Sarbaz Khan and Rana Javed.

His family has been informed about the accident.....

A Pakistani mountainer sheroz kashif and sirbaz Khan who,s scaled Mt Makalu (8463 m) this morning, 28.05.2022 NPT. sheroz kashif his third eight-thousander this season, he scaled Kangchenjunga on 05.05.2022, followed by Lhotse, 16.05.2022. He has completed 7/14 eight-thousanders thus far, age 20 and Sirbaz Khan he has completed 11/14 eight-thousanders thus far.

I am shocked to hear the heart breaking news that the king of mountaineering community, the teacher of climbers, renowned Pakistani mountaineer Ali Raza Sadpara is no more with us. He passed away this night at RHQ Skardu. Ali Raza Sadpara was injured after falling from a mountain and has been undergoing treatment at the Regional Hospital Skardu for the last ten days.
He has been involved in mountaineering since 1986.
He had climbed the 7,000-meter-high mountains 17 times, including four peaks above 8,000 meters.
