Historical East Looe
From stoney fisherman’s cottages to medieval timbered merchant houses, Looe has a lot of history hidden away in the old backstreets. Early Winter is a good time to explore the town, and look around at your leisure with a nice big hot chocolate. Don’t forget to look up, as many historical clues can be found above the festive shops and cafes. Here’s a lovely selection from the Summer. How many would you find? #Looe #cornwall #winter #history #Airbnb
Cornwall waking up…
Sunrise over Looe, after a chilly November night.
LOOE - September
End of high season in Looe; it’s often this time of year when we see a lot of EU visitors, looking to walk the coast path or try the local fish and seafood. It’s a good time to enjoy both East and West, as harbour towns have a great atmosphere and everything is still open. #looetown #cornwall #harbour #coast #seaside #airbnb #cornwallcoast #cornwalllife #shortbreak #looe Hideaway West Looe

A 1 minute walk around West Looe Quay, Nelson the Seal and a beachcomb on the shore. A very pleasant buzz outside, with locals and tourists enjoying the sunshine and peace. A great place to watch the world go by, with the turn of the tide.
An ascent to the top of the Downs above West Looe - going up the Chapel Ground steps, through the woods to the park and then the zig zag path back down to home, on the historic (and challenging) Chapel Ground. We have an airbnb on the ground floor of the house, offering access to local walks including this round route, Kilminorth Woods or the coast path.
A tour around Looe, Cornwall, with beautiful harbour views and historic buildings. Local seafood and the fab Looe Land Train doing a circuit of the ancient harbour town.
Hideaway ‘Superhost’ Matt Clark goes on an eerie adventure to explore and capture Drake’s Island. 🛟 You can visit the island by booking passage at Drake's Island to start your own adventure. The island is just off Plymouth, and boasts several hundred years of history. A fascinating place, well worth a visit. Boats depart from the old ‘Mayflower’ dock. ⚓️ Shadow Tor Studios
A walk along the coast path from #Looe to Plaidy, with warm Spring sunshine and some wonderful sea views. A great atmosphere in Looe, with the arrival of the local tractors driven by the Young Farmers Club. A charity event, they made a dazzling sight through the old country lanes and here, on the Quay in Looe.
