And the first look at my first day out this year.
I'll take a marginal at this point. With a slight to come at some point I'm sure.
These often give some of the best structure and chase days there are!
See you all in Central/West Texas this Sunday!
Storm chasing isn't always going for the highest tornado risk.
Tomorrow is the perfect example. The higher tornado risk is in east Texas, but the better play is actually going to be near the Texas panhandle.
Better chase terrain, less traffic, slower storms, and structure. All better than potentially grungy fast tornadic storms.
If I were chasing tomorrow, my initial thoughts are the Abilene to Wichita Falls area
Care to see what we find on these days? Join us this spring on a tour! I want to get you the best experience possible, and sometimes it's going for the storms that won't be as likely to drop a tornado.

How close is too close to a tornado?
Well, that depends on a lot of factors. Storm speed, motion, escape routes, etc. all must be taken into consideration.
This tornado near La Grange Texas May of 2021 was about 150 yards away, moving away from me. Given the storm, and speed of the storm, and road network, I knew I was perfectly ok sitting here as it moved away from me.
Worked hard to get into position, and was rewarded with this not so photogenic spinner.
Have you ever wanted to get close to a tornado or see one yourself? Join us this spring and this could be you!

Tuesday could be an interesting day here in Florida.
And I'm off work. Get my adulting done early enough...
Oh boy. Who wants to chase?!?!?!
This updraft was spinning like crazy! Tried it's best to plant a tornado near Dora New Mexico May 31 2023. Unfortunately it did not succeed. Perfect location over empty fields with an amazing sightline.
Join us this spring to see amazing sights such as this! Holiday special! Book before Jan 15 and get $200 off your tour!
Nothing says I love you more than sending a loved one on a storm chase tour
Or treating yourself for that matter!

Well, there was a confirmed tornado about 5-6 miles from me, and I was stuck at work
Attempted several videos from the parking lot. MAAAAYBE some power flashes at times mixed in the lightning. At best
And looks like a few more rounds are coming
East of Dryden Texas today
Jumped the gun earlier. It tried, but no luck
This explosion of hot towers, the eye is not far behind.
Incredible bombing out by Ian over night.
And just like that, it appears we have an eye.
This has been insane to watch since getting to work tonight. From a blob of mess. To an organized eye.
How we spent our Christmas morning! 65 and clear blue skies!
Also, dolphins!
