We had an amazing day at today!

We have been wanting to take the kids here for years and finally made it a priority thanks to & .d.b

The kids had an absolute ball and so did we. Capped of by evening drinks at Ballarat beside .clara.darcy and Matt and & my big toko Matt.

We have started planning our trip for next year. Still so far off but it is so bloody exciting!

We will be ditching the van and taking a full off road camper and this time, we will have a boat!! 🎣 woohoo

Daly Waters Pub 🍺

We headed to this iconic pub for Robbies birthday. We had the steak and kids the dinosaur nuggets 😅 Wasn't what we expected but the whole place was buzzing and had a real cool vibe about it. Definitely worth the short detour off the highway!

Mataranka🍹

Stayed at the Mataranka homestead so we could explore the hot springs and go to the whip show.

The springs were beautiful- very relaxing. Must have been to busy enjoying them as didn't take any photos. 🤣

We then headed to the Nathan 'whipy' Griggs whip show which was amazing. Kids sat still and watched the entire show. Nathan was a great entertainer and highly recommend his show which is on 9pm everynight until end of August. Kids are still practising everyday with the whip we bought them. 🤪

Goodbye W.A 👋

On 26 June we crossed over into NT. Bitter-sweet feelings. Was sad to be leaving w.a as it is so beautiful and knew we wouldn't be back here for a while. Had an absolute ball, saw some incredible places and met some forever long friends!

We were excited to see what N.T had to offer... however covid changed a few of those plans... 🙄

Katherine Outback Experience 🐎

We went to the extended show. Wow! We were not sure what to expect and it was amazing for the adults and kids. We were shown how they break in horses and train them and the dogs. Tom Curtain was a fantastic host and we loved every minute of it. Highly recommend if heading to NT.

Katherine Hot Springs.

These springs were right in town. Wasn't a far walk to get here. I think the earlier you go the clearer the water is but will still great spot to cool off.

We stayed in Katherine for a few nights before we were going to head up to Darwin. It was so busy and everything was booked out. We ended up staying at the showgrounds and loved it.

Whilst enroute to Darwin we found out they were about to go into lockdown 🙄 so we turned around and spent few more days at the showgrounds.

Lake Argyle ❤

Australia's most photographed pool? 🤣 We just spent the day here as it was so busy!! You can buy day passes from the kiosk (I think from memory $10 an adult) Kids loved the pool, even though it was a touch on the colder side.

The views here are spectacular and don't even seem real! There is a caravan park which only take a small amount of bookings- the rest of ppl wanting to get a spot to camp literally have to get there at 6am to get a number in the queue and wait for someone to leave.

Lake Argyle is a man made lake (second largest artificial lake in Aus) on banks of the Ord River. It is about half way between Kununurra and the NT border. Definitely worth the detour.

Emma Gorge- probably the gorge we were looking forward to the most, and it didn’t disappoint.

About an hour walk to this beautiful waterfall and swimming area. It was long, hot and difficult but the kids did great job. Fin was on Robbie’s shoulders most of the way.

There is a great resort with restaurant where we had lunch afterwards.

Zebedee Hot Springs!

Only a 750m walk from the car park was this little piece of paradise. Kids loved all the little waterfalls. Is only open 7-12. Looking forward to many more hot springs in NT.
