Thanks for the inspiration, IG/lovin_the_lalor_life! Here's to perfecting the art of camper damper 🥖🔥:

What they've learned:

Make the stick about as thick as a tent pole.
Foil the stick & oil it up.
Spread the damper thinly (about 1/2cm).
Bury the stick and turn occasionally till golden brown (about half an hour).
Add your choice of topping – golden syrup OR Nutella for the kids.

Today celebrates World Cassowary Day 🌏 ...and if you are lucky enough to observe one in the wild, here are some tips to keep you and these 'jurassic birds' safe.

Keep Your Distance - Cassowaries are large and can be territorial. Maintain a safe distance to admire them from afar.

Stay Calm - If you encounter a cassowary, remain calm and avoid sudden movements.

No Feeding - Resist the temptation to feed them, it's best to let them forage naturally.

Avoid Approaching Chicks - If you see chicks with an adult cassowary, be extra cautious, as they are protective parents.

Remember, cassowaries are incredible creatures, and observing them in their natural habitat is a special experience. 🌿🌏
