Juneau Part ✌🏼

✈️ Had the pleasure of attending the Legislative Fly-In with some of my team members from and several of our clients! I really enjoyed getting to hear from some of the speakers, meet with some of Alaska’s legislators and business owners and explore the capitol building. Found the cutest gift shop filled with locally made items to include beautiful mink earrings handmade in Juneau!

A lot of the shops and restaurants are closed around this time of year but we still had a ton of fun hitting the local spots! Can’t wait to head back later this year! ✨

✨ JUNEAU, ALASKA ✨

Had an incredible time visiting Juneau last week! This was my second visit to Alaska’s capital. The first time I visited was during the summer months. We had blue skies then and hot temps and it was absolutely incredible! This time we had lots of beautiful snowfall that covered the mountains and tree tops and streets. I enjoyed getting to see the city dressed in white.

It was nice getting to meet some of the locals, made some great connections and new friends! I also was able to visit The Shoppe in the heart of downtown Juneau where you’ll find this summer!!

🌟 Had a great time at the 2025 Alaska Wholesale Gift Show last week, hosted by at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center!

It was nice getting to connect with fellow business owners and see some familiar faces from last year. I even had some new buyers stop by my booth!

👉🏼 Last year was my first year getting into wholesale and I honestly felt like a small fish in a big pond. The same buyers from retail stores across Alaska come to these shows every year and they can be really intimidating at first… Especially when you’re “the new gal”! 🙋🏻‍♀️😂 I came to last year’s show not knowing what to expect or how exactly it all worked, but I jumped in head first, rented a small booth, and ended up getting into 4 retail locations that year! I was nervous as heck, but I’m glad I did it. ☺️

👉🏼 Fast forward to this year’s show… I felt way more confident! I was more prepared, I had a better idea of what to expect. I got a better booth, (sometimes you gotta pay to play baby) and I had a much better understanding of how wholesale works. I had a better process in place for when I received orders, and I had repeat buyers and even got into two new retail locations! 🙌🏼

So.. I’ve been asked, “would you do the show again next year?” And the answer is, Yes. You get a lot of brand exposure at these shows, you have the potential to get your products into more retail locations across Alaska, you learn so much, and you get to meet so many incredible people, and then get to learn from those people and hear their business journey, hear their story and their experience at these shows, and in my opinion that information and knowledge is invaluable. You really can’t put a dollar amount on that. So yes, I will continue to do the wholesale show, I will continue to try new things and push myself out of my comfort zone, because it’s worth it to me to learn more and keep growing my business! 😊

Don’t be afraid to start or try something new! Just go for it! Failure does not define you! Learn from it! Pivot, adapt and grow! 🫶🏼

🌟 Alaska House Build Update! 🌟

We have exterior walls and a roof!! 🙌🏼

🏡 Our house build started in October 2024 and has been moving quickly ever since! We’re super grateful for our builder for getting it done!

We chose a modern, matte black design (because you know your girl loves black), a natural wooden wick, and had my signature AK logo laser engraved on the top of a recycled bamboo lid. 🏠 It’s official! We’re building a home! 🥰

We’ve been patiently looking for the right piece of property to call home over the last few years. Almost started construction on a different lot last year but we got bad feelings from the builder and decided to back out while we could. Really happy we trusted those feelings and decided to wait. I was incredibly bummed though… 😔

Then recently, we found a gorgeous home that was just completed, it had about 95% of what we wanted in a home so we went to put in an offer to then find out someone beat us to the punch. 😩 Started to feel like this wasn’t going to happen.

We then met with the builder of the beautiful home we lost and he saved the day and let us know he could build us the same house but on a different lot! We ended up getting a better lot, a better view, we get the same beautiful house we wanted except now we get to pick all of the finishings, paint colors and make it more of our aesthetic, and… we got a better builder! 😜 👈🏼

Everything worked out in the end! I’m excited to take you along on this house build journey and new chapter in our lives! Really excited to wake up every morning to these gorgeous views of Pioneer Peak & Twin Peaks and make reels in my new kitchen and living room!! 😍🤪😂🤳💃🏻
