ENGLISH:
These two photos were taken just 2 months apart and are of the same part of a valley just East of the Sea of Galilee in Northern Israel, in an area called the ‘Golan’. Immediately evident is the difference in colour, due to the season they were taken in. Israel has four seasons ‒ Summer, Autumn, Winter & Spring. Most of Israel’s rain is received between November & March, during their Winter & early Spring.
When it is raining, the grass grows and many parts of Israel become green like the photo you see here. But when it stops raining in late Spring, the heat quickly dries the grass out until it becomes brown like in the other photo. Unlike Burundi, Israel has a great difference in Temperature between Summer & Winter. Depending on where you are in the country, Summer can be as hot as 40 degrees and Winter can be as low as Zero (or even less). So Israel can look and feel really different depending on the time you visit!
