Good news! This week, the Town of Wascott officially opened ALL town roads to ATVs and UTVs. The trails are still closed, and the road routes are always open, so please stay on the roads until further notice.

Trail Condition Report

Trails managed by Douglas County Forestry will close for the Season Wednesday April 5th at Midnight.
The City of Superior trails (0, 28, and Cross Town Connector Trails) will be closing Wednesday during the day.
After April 5th the Following year-round Trails Will Remain Open.
Wild Rivers Trail (Trail 35)
Saunders Grade
Gandy Dancer Trail (Trail 43)
Please reference the County Map for the Closures and active Logging areas.
There are still some low hanging branches and debris under the snow so please continue to ride with caution.
Make sure you check with neighboring counties and states before you ride to make sure trails are open.
Douglas County Forestry does not maintain any trails across lakes. If you would like information of specific trails please contact the Snowmobile club in that area.

It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property. Please Stay On The Trails.

Please share this info with anyone that you believe would be interested…our goal is to inform as many trail riders as possible.
Please check with neighboring counties to ensure the trails are open before you ride!

The Parking lots and access roads are plowed. The trails where groomed and tracks where set 3/31/2023. Douglas County Forestry is done grooming for the season. There is active logging on the north end. The loggers are doing a nice job keeping the trails clear but please proceed with caution.

Trail Condition Report

Trails managed by Douglas County Forestry are Still Open. There are some sections that are getting thin but overall, there is still a significant amount of snow cover on the trails. The swamps and water crossing are starting to run and we are evaluating them almost daily. The county will reevaluate conditions after the weekend if trails are able to stay open. There are several other counties that have closed or are closing soon so please check with them before you ride.
Get out and enjoy them while you still can!
Please reference the County Map for the Closures and active Logging areas.
