Ladies, new dates and locations just added for the course Basic Wilderness Survival Skills for Outdoorsy Women. The name of the course is a little different, but it's the same course I taught at Bear Creek in July.

September 24: Fountain Creek Nature Center.
October 22: Bear Creek Nature Center.

I'm so grateful every day that I get to be a business owner and provide these experiences for women.

On this hike was a very beginner hiker and a very experienced hiker who just wanted to be in the mountains. Even with the clouds Rocky Mountain National Park is magical.

It is brutally hot in Southern Colorado. Imagine being on the top oven rack on broil and that's what temps in the 90s with full sun and high altitude (6,000+ ft) feels like.

If you're coming to Colorado HYDRATE before you get here and stay hydrated while you're here. Take breaks, drink water with ELECTROLYTES, and for those who hate water, forget to drink, or just don't know any better, I strongly recommended electrolyte chews like pictured below. Just drinking water isn't enough! These have been a life saver for me while hiking because it contains sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. All these work together to keep electrolytes balanced. And they taste good!

Just something to think about to help keep you healthy while in Colorado.

Today I'm celebrating Femme Trek's 3rd anniversary! 🫶🦋🏔🎈🎉

In 2021 I quit my corporate job without having another job and started Femme Trek.
I wouldn't recommend doing it that way for others because the entrepreneur struggle is real, but for me, it was hands down the best decision I could've made.

Ladies have come from near and far to experience the magic of Rocky Mountain National Park and it's because of them that I'm able to celebrate!

I'm super excited to announce the launch of Femme Trek's newest tour, Stay Alive Immersive Tour.

Did you know that day hikers are the most at risk for being caught unprepared in a survival situation?

During this fun, interactive blended tour of workshop and hiking, we'll provide practical tips and hands-on practice to give women the confidence and skills necessary to stay alive.

Most wildlife fears focus on bears and mountain lions, but did you know that bighorn sheep are extremely territorial? They will even kick rocks off cliffs to any threat below as a warning.

The trail I was on traveled underneath these bighorn sheep and they never took their eyes off me. I moved quickly to let them have their space and thanked them for safe passage. This photo is a super extreme zoom in that I snapped while I kept moving.

Remember wildlife are wild. Keep them wild!

It was so much fun celebrating New Year's Day with these ladies on a beginner's snowshoeing tour in Rocky Mountain National Park.

It was clear everyone was excited because we all arrived 20 minutes early to the meeting place and were sad when the tour was finished. 💜

This beginner's snowshoeing tour on this trail was a huge hit so I'll be adding more dates.
