With election results in, there are mixed emotions - both joy and disappointment - for a variety of reasons.

As the founder, owner, and leader of Femme Trek, I remain committed to offering exceptional services to women who want to explore the outdoors. Throughout the years, I've encountered some skepticism about the idea of outdoor adventures for women - from both men and women alike. To that, I always say, "Not everything is for everyone, and that's okay."

When people mock or criticize me for running a business focused on women, I remind myself that I don't owe anyone an explanation. I don't understand what they hope to achieve by attempting to undermine me - whether they think I'll quit just because they don't like the idea. While I don't flaunt my confidence, I know my worth, and I'm aware that some will try to diminish Femme Trek simply because they're unhappy with themselves.

I quit my corporate job to start Femme Trek, and I have no plans of walking away from it - ever.

I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all of Femme Trek's clients, past and future, social media followers, and general supporters. Your support and encouragement mean the world and are what keep Femme Trek alive.

I will continue to launch new services, grow my business, and stand proudly as a woman-owned company that empowers women.

Today was an extra special Femme Trek tour! A childhood friend from Florida brought a friend (from Missouri) to hike with and show support for my Femme Trek. ❤️🥾🏔🙏 We had so much fun and the gesture meant a lot to me.

A 65-year-old client who hired Femme Trek a couple of months ago to train her for the Camino Frances texted about her progress. She is on day 8 of her solo trek across France and Spain heading towards 490 miles total that will take a couple of months to complete.

She's put in and putting in all the work and I'm so grateful my Femme Trek is part of her journey. 🥾🏔🥾

This 72-year-old 5th gen Coloradan hired Femme Trek to take her to Chasm Lake at 11,800 ft in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The 9 mile hike is extremely rocky above treeline with a .5 mile rock scramble to get to the lake. The snow was perfectly stacked off the trail so it wasn't an issue on the already steep, slippery, rocky climb.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect and everything worked out for her to have a successful day!

This intrepid adventurer from the UK, followed in the footsteps of Isabella Bird, tracing her journey from Europe to California, across the western United States to Cheyenne and ultimately Estes Park, where Bird spent a year and became one of the first women to conquer Long's Peak in 1873.

I'm grateful this client hired Femme Trek to help her explore the Rocky Mountains and get a sense of what Bird would have experienced. 🥾🏔🌞🙏💪

Thank you to clients past, present, and future who help me continue with the Femme Trek mission, which is to provide women with safe, accessible access to the wilderness through education and guided tours.

I quit my corporate job and started Femme Trek not knowing what would happen. Today I took out a tour in Rocky Mountain National Park and am teaching a sold out women's wildernness survival skills course in Estes Park, Colorado.

Momentum is building and my heart is full! ❤️💯🌞🥾🏔💪

Ladies, new dates and locations just added for the course Basic Wilderness Survival Skills for Outdoorsy Women. The name of the course is a little different, but it's the same course I taught at Bear Creek in July.

September 24: Fountain Creek Nature Center.
October 22: Bear Creek Nature Center.
