(Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) & Tower committee was formed in September of 2008 to oversee and direct the C.O.P.E. & Tower program at Williams Scout Reservation in Cleo Springs, Oklahoma. In 2010 Cimarron Adventures took the program into its own control and moved to Enid, Oklahoma to better serve the youth of Enid, and Oklahoma. Cimarron Adventures is a volunteer led and ran initiative
made up of various people who love to see the youth of Oklahoma succeed and build lasting bonds with one another. Cimarron Adventures works on developing the characteristics of: self-esteem, teamwork, leadership, good decision making, communications, problem solving, and trust (trust in others, & trust in leaders/ authority figures). By exposing youth and adults to increasingly tougher challenges, they learn good communication, group decision-making, and teamwork building. Cimarron Adventures runs several programs including a Day Camp for the youth of Enid; our goal with the day camp is to provide youth with two meals a day and programs to keep them out of trouble while on summer break. A resident camp is planned for a fuller experience. Our camp is mainly geared for “at risk youth” however we can also provide program to Boy & Girl Scouts, Camp Fire Kids, church groups, school groups, YMCA, & anyone who has a group who wants to build team values and have a great deal of fun! Mission Statement is to serve the youth of Enid, and Northwest Oklahoma, by providing a safe place with supervision, meals, and programs to develop and foster leadership, honesty, integrity, trust, and friendship.
