Welcome to Chefchaouen, Morocco’s famous blue city.

Chefchaouen is known for its blue-hued buildings and streets. This picturesque city, located in the Riff Mountains, was built in the 15th century, but was not painted blue until the 20th century. Though the real reason it was painted blue is still ambiguous, here are a few possibilities: 💙

Blue is tied to Jewish custom and culture. Blue represents the sky, and thus, heaven and God.

Blue keeps the city cool

Blue represents water and the city’s Ras el-Maa Waterfall

Blue is a calming and alluring to tourists

Whatever the initial reason might have been, the blue paint has been maintained by locals for its tradition and heritage.

golden Moroccan sunsets 🤍

Fes is the oldest of Morocco’s four imperial cities and is a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient architecture and rich history. Visiting this beautiful city felt like travelling through time; with 1000-year-old leather tanneries, handwoven rugs, and souks filled with olives, dates, and cactus pears. Visit Fes for the ultimate sensory experience.

📍 La Sultana, Marrakech, Morocco

From its vaulted ceilings to its beautiful zellige floors, La Sultana in Marrakech will always continue to amaze us! 🤍

La Sultana is a hotel located in the UNESCO world heritage site of the Medina of Marrakech. In 2001, its architectural details began to be restored by the Ministry of Culture and melems (craft experts). Its intricate details include tadelakt, a traditional wall surfacing technique made of lime plaster and soap made from olives, zellige tiling (handcrafted clay tiles, as pictured above), and intricate brickwork. La Sultana is not only a historical hotel (with an excellent rooftop restaurant) but a work of art in itself.

Unforgettable memories were made while boating through the magical Gulfo Dulce 🤍 The ecosystem of the Golfo Dulce includes marine mammals, reptiles, fish, sharks, and invertebrates. The Golfo Dulce is one of the only tropical fjords in the world and one of Costa Rica's best kept secrets!

This fjord contains a wide range of habitats 🐠 From warm, shallow marine coral formations to all kinds of cetaceans, these waters are truly breathtaking 🤍

📍 Peace Lodge and Waterfall Gardens
Our trip to the animal sanctuary was truly family fun for everyone 🤍 We got up close to colourful hummingbirds, learned about jaguars, saw cute sloths, and then went on a hike to a 120ft waterfall 🌴 So many amazing moments today, it's hard to pick a favourite!
