11 years ago on 1-11, we married each other on the top of a mountain after having met on 11-11-11.

The day was wild and fun and painful (cold) and challenging and joyful all at once. And I can say the same about our marriage since.

It’s been an unbelievable ride and I can’t wait for more big dreaming, daring adventures, and lots of love. 🩵

🍋 Rediscovering Creativity: A Lemon-Squeezed Epiphany 🍋

This morning, as I squeezed the life out of a lemon for my daily hot lemon water, it was disappointingly dry, offering only a few drops. But when I finally thought to turn it for another squeeze, the juices were flowing.

It got me reflecting on the past month, where I'd been stuck in a repetitive work routine, lost in the daily grind of my biz, much like squeezing the darn lemon with no results.

I notice this feeling often hits when I neglect to change my surroundings. And it's something we all experience 👉 the need for a fresh perspective, especially as business owners.

Travel is a fantastic source of inspiration and creativity, but it's not always practical.

So, here's my simple "travel hack" for those times when jetting off isn't an option:

The hardest part of traveling with kids…..

….Not doing it enough and losing that travel rhythm? 🌍✈️
This year, we didn't travel with our kids as much, and the first few days of our recent trip were cute photographically, but heavily sprinkled with fussing, disagreements, and whines of boredom. But I’ve learned to expect this and have to constantly remind myself of it, especially when we're off our travel game.

When we've been home for a while, our kids become like these curious little time bombs, bursting with energy and excitement, ready to explore (and destroy). It usually takes about 3-5 days of being away to hit that sweet spot where everyone syncs up and we feel in our travel groove.

It's like there's a magic that happens when you're exploring together – a dance of understanding, adapting, and embracing the chaos that only travel brings…again, when you’ve been practicing.

Here's the secret to managing when you’re out of practice (and anytime when you’re traveling for that matter): cut them some slack, let some rules slide, get them out running like wild animals as long as possible, and go easy on yourself too. Whether it's a big adventure or a simple day trip, the key is to keep those travel vibes alive! 🌟

So, let's commiserate – what's the trickiest part of traveling with your kids? I want to hear your story 🙂
