Y’all, I hate to say it…. But I think it’s time we start talking about Christmas shopping. Christmas is in 71 days. I’ve been focusing on my son’s 8th birthday so I haven’t even STARTED to think about Christmas presents!

And I don’t want to. There’s no room, the kids are getting older so they don’t play with toys as much anyways, and let’s face it—I want a vacation!

I’m thinking that Universal Studios in Orlando might be the perfect spot for Christmas this year. It doesn’t have to be on Christmas—we still have family we want to spend time with. But a trip to the theme parks sounds WAY better than piles of gifts and wrapping paper and mess.

So this week we’re going to talk about some of the highlights of Holidays at Universal, including:

Just got a *magical princess* upgrade at the Contemporary Resort to a tower theme park view room 🤩🤩🤩🤩 so now I have the monorail outside my door and Cinderella’s castle outside my balcony!

As the shirt says, I’m done adulting, let’s go to Disney!

I’m headed down to Orlando today for a training trip with my team, starting with some fun at Universal Studios and ending with a day at Walt Disney World.

Highlights of my plans:
🌟 checking out Universal’s Volcano Bay for the first time!
🌟 attending Halloween Horror Nights at Universal
🌟 training with my team on all the Universal properties and parks
🌟 dinner at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs
🌟 a day hopping from Magic Kingdom to Epcot and back for the Food & Wine festival and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
🌟 deluxe extended evening hours at Magic Kingdom for staying at Contemporary resort for the first time 😍
🌟 bounding as two of my favorite characters for our park days ☀️ 🐊

Since I had today off and the kids were at school, I decided to visit some of my favorite local businesses.

📚 first stop, Blackwater Books for a Bridgerton novel 😍 I love their selection of used books, it’s always fun to hunt for one of my favorite authors or just browse the selection. And my kids love picking out a book or two as well!

🧢 next I popped into PG Hat Company, not for a hat, but for a new car freshener from P’cola Soap Co for Jake’s car 🤣 The owners there are so sweet and helpful, so if you’re looking for a new hat or one with a custom logo, check them out

🌺 I followed this with a stroll through Hummingbirds Flowers & Events just to see what they had. They make the prettiest flower arrangements, but I just wanted to check out their broad gift assortment. If you’re looking to put together a gift basket for pretty much anyone, they’re the perfect stop. Check out the warmies and adorable selection of classic kids’ board books 😍

🥐 I finished my afternoon with a visit to The Makery for a Chocolate Croissant Cold Brew and a snickerdoodle scone. I enjoyed those and some instrumental music as I worked through some Universal parks training, then snagged a s’mores brownie to enjoy later 🤤

I think this is going to be a new goal on my days off from Moon Light Cafe, to visit local businesses and find good places to work from for my travel business. Local friends, where should I visit next week???

Truth or Myth? The first step in taking your dream vacation is planning every little detail before putting down your deposit.

MYTH!

Before you can start planning your excursions, meals, theme park days, or even nighttime shows and entertainment, you have to actually book your trip. To actually book your trip, you have to know what dates, flights, and hotels will work best for you. Of course, that is where we come in!

This means the *real* first step to your dream vacation is scheduling a free consultation with one of our travel specialists. If you don't want to chat on the phone, don't worry! Email works just as well. During the consultation stage, your specialist will take notes on your wishlist, budget, travel experiences, requests, and needs.

Then, they will send over a proposal, likely with a few options for you to choose from. Everything they send you is fully customizable, within reason of course. At this stage, you are welcome to request changes or choose from one of the packages they sent you in this first proposal.

Finally, once you approve the proposal, you will send in your trip profile with basic information about everyone who is traveling with you. While you will send in your credit card at this stage, please note that nothing is paid until we send you a confirmation email.

Once you get that confirmation email, it will officially be time to plan!

Happy Experiment 626 day! This breakfast experience at Ohana at the Polynesian resort was one of my favorites! We had so much fun meeting Stitch, Lilo, Pluto, and Mickey of course. The kids loved the long interactions with each one as they came to the table, and I loved that the food was delicious, never ending, and my kids kept asking for more!
