The central business district of Perth is bounded by the Swan River to the south and east, with Kings Park on the western end and the railway reserve as the northern border.[citation needed] A state and federally funded project named Perth City Link sank a section of the railway line to allow easy pedestrian access between Northbridge and the CBD. The Perth Arena is an entertainment and sporting arena in the city link area that has received several architectural awards from institutions such as the Design Institute of Australia, the Australian Institute of Architects, and Colorbond. St Georges Terrace is the area's prominent street, with a large amount of office space in the CBD. Hay Street and Murray Street have most of the retail and entertainment facilities. The city's tallest building is Central Park, the twelfth tallest building in Australia. The CBD until 2012 was the centre of a mining-induced boom, with several commercial and residential projects being built, including Brookfield Place, a 244 m (801 ft) office building for Anglo-Australian mining company BHP.

Westfield Booragoon is a major regional shopping centre in the city of Perth, Western Australia. Westfield Booragoon is located at the corner of Marmion Street and Riseley Street in the southern suburb of Booragoon. Matagarup Bridge is a suspension pedestrian bridge crossing over the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. Situated approximately half-way between Heirisson Island and the Goongoongup Bridge, it provides pedestrian access between Burswood and East Perth. The bridge structural shape resembles two flying swans, with the bridge arches representing the wishbones, but it can also be seen as a swimming dolphin, a Wagyl serpent or a ribbon. 900 metres (3,000 ft) of multicolour LED lighting cover the bridge. Design modifications were made to allow bridge climbing as a tourist attraction. The modifications included the addition of handrails along the wishbones and a viewing elevated platform; the structural design already included stairs for bridge inspection and maintenance works.

Westfield West Lakes Shopping Centre in Adelaide, Australia (4K 60fps) July 2022

Westfield West Lakes is a shopping centre located in West Lakes, South Australia. It contains approximately 260 stores, with anchor tenants David Jones, Harris Scarfe, Kmart, Coles, Target, Woolworths and JB Hi-Fi. 2004-2006 saw a major expansion to the north of the centre; a large food court, fashion strip and a Reading Cinemas complex was built. A large upgrade of the centre was completed in August 2013. It extended the centre further to the north-west, next to David Jones and Harris Scarfe and introduced a paid parking system. Target become an anchor tenant as well as approximately 40 additional retailers added.

The Parade is a major arterial road in the South Australian capital of Adelaide, connecting its inner eastern suburbs to the western foot of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The shopping precinct on The Parade in Norwood sees the road turn into a thin, tree lined, four-laned road with various shops, hotels, movie theatres and restaurants on both sides. Of note is the heritage-listed Norwood Town Hall. A significant landmark on The Parade is the Clayton Wesley Uniting Church on the corner of Portrush Road and The Parade in Beulah Park. The church that is visible along the road from Norwood was built in 1883, although an earlier building (still behind the present church) was built in 1856.
